This. His contract might have been up and they didn't give him a new deal or let Mike have him.

I think Kyle was unhappy with the development of the receivers and TEs. Remeber aiyuk was struggling early in the season, and the production of our TEs has gone way down. Deebo was more of a Bobby turner product than Welker's. Everyone needs to relax and let shanny do his thing.

Also notice how our defensive staff is staying out. Shanahan was most likely unsatisfied with the offensive coaching staff. This was a move he could've block, but didn't.

Im hoping Wes Welker has a distant great grandparent who is of African descent so we can receive more 3rd round picks haha. But honestly, who else thought McDaniel was of a minority?

In all seriousness though, was Welker that good? If Shanny wanted to keep him, he could of offered him the passing coordinator job. Look at our young receivers' development. Deebo finally turned it on in year 3 even with him being an athletic freak. Aijuk has a super slow start and actually looked better in his rookie season. Pettis never developed. Richie James never developed. Sherfield looked promising but never amounted to much. Bourne and Jennings seem to be the only receivers that our coaching staff made better.

I disagree. Maybe he likes what he sees from Leonard Hankerson. Or he has someone in mind. Kyle is really going to have to flex his connects. Part of being a great team is sustaining great assistants leaving. I just wish we won a Super Bowl before this happened.

Because I figured we were going to get poached after we lost Scangarello to Fangio in 2019, I started keeping track of our offensive and defensive assistants. Hopefully Leonard Hankerson is up to the task.

Hope Shanny shocks us with his new hires the way he did with Anthony Lynn.

I wonder what he thought about Bosa, or Deebo, or Aiyuk, to say he is not a future in the making or is a future star in the making is something no one knows, so what he played 1yr at NDSU, so tired of people thinking they know more than the scouts, coaches, GMs do. Like oh this guy could have been had a rounder later or as a UDFA, no one knows that, I get so sick of crap like that.

Man I really hate to lose Wes. I hope we get someone who is better and the players love and respect just as much, if not more.
