We'll see... great players don't necisarily make great coaches... great coaches are great teachers, that is a common denominator.

Did the Texans receivers suck while he was there?

Their WRs had 70.5% catch rate, and only the least targeted two were below 66%.

Know how many 49er WRs had above a 65% catch rate last year? Zero.

He wasn't the WR coach there technically but their WRs were great. Hell they even had Bruce Ellington producing at one point...before he got hurt again

Pretty sure this is a really Neanderthalic reference to Katie Sowers. I'll happily be proven wrong. Otherwise, shame.

This guy was a great team player, scrappy, good route runner, character guy, not a great athlete... any more white WR stereotypes I missed?

Apparently Neanderthals get a super bum rap, they're finding. They were actually social, domestic, had tools. They didn't just drag their knuckles, grunt and bash things.

No, I think all of those guys – Wes, Larry [Izzo], Mike [Vrabel] – they're all players that I've had that were as hard of working players as I've coached that loved the game, that were grinders, that had that coaching mentality, which was be early, stay late, put in a lot of extra time, do your dirty work and they've all started at the bottom and worked their way up. I think Bill has got an outstanding staff and I know those guys personally and have a ton of respect for them.

Great players don't make great coaches.
Grinders make great coaches.
Like the signing.
