York is cheap.
The only thing that irks me over the fact that its too much money for a dude coming off an acl is; LB has been the only position the niners have actually drafted well over the past few years. Why not sign positions you actually are bad at drafting... Get edge signed, sign cornerbacks. Lbs and interior linemen we actually make okay draft picks with...
Kwon, Bosa, and Thomas this offseason .. Im sure Saleh will find a way to f**k it up

You can hope for the best for the signing and still question it. It doesn't make you a bad fan or overly cynical. These are legitimate, fact-based, concerns. Everybody wants him to succeed.

You have 4 times the amount of posts in this thread as the next most and almost all have them have focused on the negatives. Yes, we know this guy has flaws. No one is disputing it, but you just seem really invested in pointing out every negative thing you come across on Twitter. Just sayin', take a deep breath homie.
LMAO Dude tore his ACL and is garbage
Used to be a Don Juan, now is name is just Kwon..

I know you're being sarcastic. But this hasn't been true for like 10 years now.

I get that it's essentially a 2 year deal but what's the point if we may not even see him at his true 100% until the 2nd year. And that's if he doesn't get injured again. What if that 2nd year, he's slightly above average in the Armstead category, then we keep him during the 3rd year and he is still not performing to the money being paid.

Yes, we need take risks but taking a risk on an injured player AND dishing out the money is not smart. Would rather pay even more and get a guy who we know will be ready to play 100%.

AGREE...

.. and the fact that this signing is very similar to the Malcom Smith signing already tells me that we just wasted $$$.

He' be eating all right with that stupid overpay

You realize every FA gets overpaid right? It's the whole thing nowadays, FAs get overpaid, Trent Brown got $16.5M FRIGGING DOLLARS a year.

How come we aren't signing anyone?

Signed someone

How come we paid so much?

Good lord

So we get a guy that's been susupended, battles injuries, and most recently had a very significant injury for a player that really relies on his speed.
Unreal how big of a contract he got. Even without the acl tear this seems like way too much for the kind of player he is.
Thank god it sounds like we can get out of the deal after 2 years.
I have a hard time believing we will ever look back at this deal and think it was good for us.

Maybe tomorrow I'll do some film cut ups in hom for everyone to see

Well, all coaches film seems to be unavailable to me right now. I've tried loading every game he played last year on 2 devices and both give an error. I can watch the broadcast but no coaches film.

Not sure about this one.
I will be optimistic about his recovery, but I don't like the signing. Hopefully, he proves me wrong on the field. These ACL injuries are always tricky.
