Kwon Alexander LB, Saints

Cant say Im all that excited. Only started 16 games once in 4 years... seems like there were better options for that kind of money.

If healthy then great signing, but thats a big if.

As expected, out options after two years. Solid deal.
Alexander was signed to essentially replace Foster who was released right before the team played Tampa Bay, ironically.

Makes you wonder who is pulling the strings. Same strategy across two lame duck GMs.

why did we sign this guy to play ILB when we have Warner? 13 mil per season should go towards OLB/EDGE.. id rather have Justin Houston for 10 mil..

Because ILB in our scheme refers to the two stack backers, WLB and MLB. They're pretty interchangeable
Yea i didn't realize he tore his ACL. Really not a great injury for an outside linebacker. That puts a huge pause on this signing

We're always protected with Paarag. But want to see the actual deal first.
Maybe tomorrow I'll do some film cut ups in hom for everyone to see

Pro Bowl LB, coming off an ACL tear. Still just 24. If he fully recovers then he could be a monster in this scheme, it all comes down to health.

His leadership probably has a lot to do with why they were so aggressive. He will walk in and take control of the locker room fairly quickly

He' be eating all right with that stupid overpay

You realize every FA gets overpaid right? It's the whole thing nowadays, FAs get overpaid, Trent Brown got $16.5M FRIGGING DOLLARS a year.

Yep I was happy they made a move but reading through this thread is making me worried. I am not a big fan of injured guys
It's amazing how bad the "sf" media is cause they really don't understand contracts.. This will probably be a reasonable contract after everything is done

All these dudes are about to get overpaid just like AB did

when you will you guys learn lol

when you're not a contender you have to overpay
Great signing! This is essentially a 7$ Mil/ year contract. If he makes more than that, it means he deserved it by playing well. Parage knows how to build these contracts. He must pass his physical before it becomes official anyways.
To all you who said we wouldn't make an early move, you were wrong!
