Good lord
This reaction is totally predictable, as my post on page one shows.
Constantly negative people will be negative in all scenarios. It's their nature. Others of us try to be more pragmatic.

Seriously, though, I like the signing, but it obviously has risks. Every signing has risks. Last year everyone was worried about the Sherman signing because of him coming off of an injury, but it was our other two big offseason moves that had no knee injury issues that ended up missing all/most of the year (Jimmy G and Jet). The future is - wait for it - not totally predictable.
lol yep

Are the "DO SOMETHING!!!" crowd happy now?
Nope. I expect them to b***h and moan about the cost.
Right

Yep I was happy they made a move but reading through this thread is making me worried. I am not a big fan of injured guys
Yea im not a fan of breaking bank for guys coming off injury. I don't think he's a bad player but its looking like the dude is injured a lot.

I'm not sure about this considering he's coming off a knee injury.

You can hope for the best for the signing and still question it. It doesn't make you a bad fan or overly cynical. These are legitimate, fact-based, concerns. Everybody wants him to succeed.

Right
And people wonder why this is considered one of the worst fan base around sports but the awful "sf" media feeds them so what can you say

A few areas to like:
- Legit replacement for Foster.
- Sideline to sideline speed.
- Good in coverage
- Interchangeable at MIKE and WILL.
A few areas to dislike:
- Expensive as expected; plenty of Fred Warner type LBs in this draft.
- Injury history. Hopefully this isn't a Malcolm Smith signing all over again.
- Missed tackles. Dude needs to learn to wrap up.
Thank you for this.

This is a narrative that isn't always true. If you reside in another state with a primary residence AND immediate family in that state... you can claim domicile. This only makes sense if he plans on moving to CA.
You still pay state taxes for the games that you play in that state (where you "work"). That's 9 games (8 home plus Rams in LA) at least (they could play the Chargers or Raiders).

Missed tackles was a problem last season so we get one of the top missed tacklers in the league.
Time to go get a DB with 0 career interceptions.

It all depends how he comes back from the injury. It's only been 5 months since he tore it.

With any free agent move the signing will be reviewed after the guy actually plays.
It seems like a lot of money but I'll let his play dictate whether it's a good or bad move. He's young, hopefully will be healthy. Good fit for the scheme in a weak LB draft. I'm curious to see the contract details, I have a feeling we covered our asses in case he's not 100%. Hope I'm not wrong.
Good start...let's keep it going.
Considering injuries have killed our teams in recent years I'm ok taking a chance on guys getting healthy and doing their thing. I hope we double down on the injury front and sign a guy coming off a broken leg in Earl Thomas and then sign the guy who ended his college season from injury in Bosa.
