Skule may have done that.
Every team has a back-up but ideally, you want a guy who will be focused on just snapping and subject to the lowest possible protection from injury.

You really don't want this change in the middle of the season. Snapper, holder and kicker all have to have a chemistry. Look at what happened last season when snappers were shuffled in and out due to Nelson's suspension.IDK I'm gonna be nervous on punts and field goals this season I guess.

A rumor came out mid game that Gould and Nelson had a falling out

last thing we need is a close game being lost due to the LS. Not worth taking that risk. Hopefully the new LS builds some kind of chemistry with the kicker/punter before the game this week.

This is total b******t and it´s Kyle 100% percent.
I really doubt it was Lynch´s idea.
Ok the guy was really bad Sunday but still it´s one game!
He deserved a second chance. That´s the least Kyle could have done for someone like Nelson
Kyle didn´t fire Verrett after the Vikings game for example. And that was the absolutely right decision.
But why Nelson doesn´t get the same treatment? Maybe there´s more than simply a bad game.
I really doubt it was Lynch´s idea.

It wasn't just one bad snap. It was catastrophically bad. Like a complete mental breakdown. Anytime you have 7 consecutive bad snaps, it's tough for them to look at that and feel comfortable moving forward with that. It sucks, but I do understand it.
I think they know that many games could be close in the coming weeks and we can't afford any mistakes from the snapper that cost us. I think Nelson will land on his feet and wouldn't be surprised to see him land with another team at some point.

How about waiting until a little bit more info comes out? Because you don't know pretty much any of this.
