This is gonna be the norm for him IMO...if I remember correctly he wasn't practicing a ton with KC.

i agree with this, bud damn bro with that Cap hit im sure we can find a guy that can create some pressure on the other side. He has to be on the field to be making that much.

Turf is harder on players than grass. Limit his time on turf and full time on grass. Only Saints, Cardinals and Seahawks on turf the rest of the year.

At this point in his career, he doesn't need a lot of practice time. Save him for games as much as possible.

I agree. But won't have a chance to get right until the offseason. Each week will be an adventure.

Yes I saw this...just posting videos of him practicing today.

I mean they have no reason to say anything one way or the other (same as Bosa last week) I'm glad they're finally shutting their mouths a little on injuries

Too bad you can't tape up or brace this injury, the way they kind of did with Bosa. It looks like you just have to wait for the body to heal from the sunday damage every week. That's going to cause more errors in the future like - for example - offside errors.

Fan Andy really got on on Praag and ShanaLynch. But that would have happened anyway if our old medical team was still on the job. They would have 'ed in up like they did the diagnosis for McKinnon and Richburg.

As long as he's out there, any oline will pay much attention while the others pin their ears back and bum rush fools.

Squealers are dead meat. Book that s**t!

If the game gets out of hand, like the Cincinnati game, I hope they take Ford out early and plug in Blair.

Agree. Somebody making 30+ million this year, or 85+ million over 5 years - needs to actually play. Hopefully he plays in 85 to 90% of the games, otherwise, I agree, it's a waste of cap space.
Still, if the 49ers get lucky and get a quality edge rusher next year in the draft, Praag has structured his contract such that if he is cut in year 2 or 3, the dead cap money is diminished. I'm all for drafting another edge rusher next year, and this was before we found out Dee Ford had permanent Tendinosis.

I'm thinking if the 49ers win against the Steelers, they should rest Ford in the Browns game, and then let him play against the Rams. That might preserve his health or at least extent his playing time another couple of weeks. I think towards the latter half of the season, sometime when the weather gets cold and the ground gets harder, that's when his knee gives out (for example - the Baltimore and Packers game). Hope not, but I just don't like the fact that he has to wait till Friday to feel better and possibly play on sunday. He's missing practice, and while that's not a real big deal because he's a pass rusher, in the playoffs - those little penalties and mistakes -- because he didn't practice -- will be the difference in winning and losing.
