First off I would like to say this is a great addition to the team and a big piece to building this defense.

Secondly, what's next? What direction do we go with the 2nd overall pick? Q Williams? Josh Allen? Bosa? Trade down?

Thoughts

I'd still get bosa but wouldn't mind QW now

Because the FO can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

It was more a matter of $$. If they traded for OBJ, Ford wasn't happening and vice versa.

Why not both? We can certainly afford both guys. Personally, I'm happy that the Ford deal happened and the OBJ one didn't. The flexibility we now have with the 2nd pick is salivating.

A liability in the run?

Yeah because, especially after signing Alexander, we're TOTALLY dying for more run defense

Literally the only one complaining

If he's allowed in heaven, does he complain to God that it's too perfect up there, then wants out
Some stuff I saw while watching Ford last week after the rumor popped up. He's very talented and actually reminded me a lot of a mini-Josh Allen.

Ford's game is predicated on speed. His get off is blazing and eats up space with his first three steps. He's not that tall(relatively speaking), so he naturally shrinks around the arc. He absolutely feasts on tackles who are late out of their stance or have slow feet. Give him a soft corner, and he'll snatch it.

Coming out of college, he'd simply run past tackles. But he's learned how to soften the corner by using his hands. This cross-chop move is absolutely filthy. He does false step a lot, which is surprising given how explosive he is. But he could be even more explosive if he gets that tidied up.

Another improvement since coming out of college is his ability to convert speed to power. Ford knows how to use his speed to manipulate tackle's into opening their hips. As previously mentioned, he's a hair under 6-2, so he's got that natural leverage to work underneath tackle's pads.

I am now on the Q Williams band wagon, though I am still not completely convinced that the Cards will be picking Murray. Its still a win-win, Bosa would not be a bad consolation if the Cards shock everyone and select Williams.

What a wild hour on the WZ. From everybody being pissed from complete silence, to OBJ actually getting traded, to pure meltdown, to Ford trade, to everyone being happy.

And that's what New League Year's Eve is all about

Hahahahaha
Most import thing is we keep out 2019 and 2020 first rounders. Boss or QW this year followed by a legit WR in next years class!

Looking forward to Bosa and Ford on the edge

Just was hoping for Houston...didn't have to give up a pick for him...better overall play when it comes to the run...
