Unless Jimmy gets moved in 24 hrs get ready for a couple more restructures. This one stinks though. I get pushing that down the road because of the cap increase the next two yrs, but at some pt you gotta rip the Band-Aid off.

Does not matter if Jimmy is traded, we are going to see more of these.

Yup. This makes sense actually

I guess they're restructuring now. No trade imminent for Jimmy

Even if we traded Jimmy we'd probably need to restructure a couple contracts to allow us to fill out our roster and sign our rookies anyway.

This sounds like just saving money. I don't think it's related. Now, if they restructure AA or Ward or Kittle, then I think it's more likely to keep Jimmy.
…. which is insane.
We might as well give this dude a lifetime contract at this point
Glad we saved some money with his restructure...

What Jagged is saying makes more sense.

And remember, the FO said they have money set away for Bosa and Deebo for this current offseason.

As soon they said that I knew a bunch of restructures were coming, and it also meant that Jimmy is definitely gone. No matter how many guys we restructure there's no way we can resign those guys, even one guy would be harder without really back loading the contract.
When can we actually get out from under this guy? Next year?
