I was ecstatic when it went down. We had the #2 pick and all indications that the best player in the draft (Bosa) wasn't going to be selected by the Cards. We had a way to go from weak pass rush to a dominant pass rush with Buckner and Armstead inside. And we got him for a 2nd rounder for a pass rusher in his mid 20s. It seemed like a good deal and a great roster move at the time.

50/50 when it happened b/c his bad knees weren't a mystery. Definitely worth the risk. The contract restructure with the injury guarantees was really bad. Time to move on

It was a good trade. Only giving up a second for him and signing him was the right move. Ford was also young at the time. I was glad we did the trade

The trade was completely fine. He took our pass rush to the next level (along with Bosa of course). If someone told you, give me a 2nd round pick and ill give you a chance to win the super bowl, you would take it every time. The issue was what we did with his contract after. That's where we really screwed up.

After Dee Ford signs a new contract and Nick Bosa is let go because the numbers couldn't work.
