Supposedly working out and healing his broken hand. Which is probably the reason why no team signed him.

Bad news for Bosa's DPOY chances. Moore is about to dominate!

Pretty much this. They need the extra DL depth. Hopefully with all this talent around him he can be more than the non-entity he's been for basically his entire NFL career thus far.

I think things like this doesn't go unnoticed for players around the league regarding players getting that 2nd chance after hardwork instead of us working out and signing someone not with us in the offseason
Whatever, I hear this dude is sober and ready to go.

But he is a player. Just not a guy who works out super well. With the pads on he has good pass rush technique and moves and makes plays. That's what matters and we need the depth right now with injuries. As a player in the rotation he will do fine and help us IMO.
Preseason standout, DE Damontre Moore will reportedly be signed back to the #49ers with Ronald Blair headed to the season ending IR following his torn ACL. pic.twitter.com/xYPfJm3Fk8

You just sit there in your wrongness and like it.
Reading between the lines, Kyle Shanahan hinted at the Damontre Moore signing Tuesday by saying that the 49ers wanted an edge body type to replace the injured Ronald Blair. They didn't want to shift an interior guy like Kentavius Street out of position.

Damontre Moore signed a deal with the #49ers to carry him through the remainder of the season. He can be expected to get on the field Sunday vs. #AZCardinals.https://t.co/Fib5bn3YSq

Blair played 37% of the snaps.
The 49ers heavily scouted the AAF in the spring. They now have two guys who played in it: OL Daniel Brunskill and DE Damontre Moore, who presumably will take over the role Ronald Blair (ACL) had through the first nine weeks. Blair played 37 percent of the defensive snaps.
