This would all be based on travel/distance for the teams. Rivalries would only get better in my opinion. I did this by just looking at a map.

NFC North: (same)
Lions, Packers, Vikings and Bears

AFC North: (1 new team)
Browns, Bengals, Colts and Steelers

NFC East: (2 new teams)
Eagles, Redskins, Ravens and Panthers

AFC East: (1 new team)
Pats, Bills, Jets and Giants

NFC South: (2 new teams)
Bucs, Falcons, Dolphins and Jags

AFC South: (2 new teams)
Titans, Texans, Dallas and Saints

NFC West: (1 new team)
49ers, Seattle, Chargers, and Rams

AFC West: (1 new team)
Vegas, Chiefs, Denver and ARZ

I like this very much

move the raiders to the nfc west and leave the chargers in the afc west and this looks good

they'll never EVER break up the NFC East. having the Rams and Chargers in the same division and conference is stupid.

agreed .... they will never move the cowboys out of the nfc east

NFC East is pretty much set in stone.

nothing is set in stone, and they aren't even close to being on the East coast lol. That's my whole point.

If they really want to increase revenues, they have to enter new markets. So, I believe they only realign divisions if they add more teams. Probably four. I'd like to see a team in Portland and San Antonio. I suppose that could be used to cut off preseason games.

They would have to get creative and maybe switch to 3 or 2 (like the NHL) division per conference.

No that isn't the point. The rivalries go back too far to be disrupted.
The NFL is mostly about the eastern teams...always has been, likely always will be. Agree, they'll never break up the NFC East. I get some of the geographical factors could make for some interesting new rivalries, but it's the longstanding rivalries as the league is now that would be devastated. I don't see any realignment on the horizon...
We could be due for a division shake up soon. I sense an expansion within 10 years.
the south divisions should stay as they were except to add Dallas to NFC south and Dolphins to AFC south
Remember before 02 when the Falcons and Saints were apart of our NFC West? lol
Appreciate the effort but you killed a lot of good rivalries.

Ravens-Steelers
Saints-Falcons
The entire NFC East and NFC South is now ruined.
Chargers vs Broncos and Chiefs now gone.

Panthers too
Geographically speaking it kind of makes sense. The current alignment never did make sense. But fans are hesitant to accept change. It would be a difficult sell. It would cut down on travel miles and travel time making away games potentially easier for teams. Especially coastal teams like us who have to fly 5 hours to get to the east coast. That wears you down. If you are just 1, 2, 3 hours away from some of those places you are less worn down from the travel and more ready to play. I like it in concept.. But the fans don't like any changes.
