I am thinking 2 year 16.5 million with 5 million signing bonus and 1 to 2 million first year salary and 4.5 million year two if on the roster at the opening of the new year. that would be up to 11.5 million guaranteed unless cut before the year starts. Still give him 6.5 to 7 million the first year not including any bonus stuff that is always in these contracts. Kinda a prove it with a second year if all goes well.

Yea we all love the dude but you can't just deal him out a long term deal with the injury concerns. Another team might do it but it is what it is. I believe another team will give him a better deal and he should take it.
Yeah, it's an unusual situation since his market is kind of a mystery. He showed everything you want to see, but only lasted about 31 plays. I think the 49ers badly want him back, and so do I, but they are waiting to see how his market plays out a bit. The NFL knows about Greenlaw now, it's no secret that he's an elite linebacker.

If someone breaks the bank it is what it is. Usually guys don't get healthier as they age, so I feel like he we will always have some leg issues.

My guess, if he doesn't stay here, is he signs with the Commanders to replace or play next to Bobby Wagner. Commanders have a s**t ton of cap room.
Odds are he will get hurt again. He plays a brutal style of football.

Ironic statement considering his non contact injury during the super bowl.

shutting him down early will give him even more time to heal up and be game ready. good as new
I imagine he'd want to stay even more now with Saleh coming back

I would say that's a pipe dream. He already took a discount with the extension he made two years ago.
