why did we pass on kenny young,,,?

Not sure if it has been brought up yet but I'll purpose the question.

How many of you think Azeez has earned playing time over Dre "The Goal Line Guardrail" Greenlaw???

With Azeez coming back this week and Greenlaw on schedule for next week we are almost looking at a Greenlaw/Alexander situation. I personally believe Greenlaw should still get the nod in nickel/3rd down looks but it is getting hard to deny that there is most certainly a competition at this point. Just curious to know how you guys feel about it.

Hell nah Greenlaw shouldn't be replaced, the Greenlaw replacing Alexander situation was easily visible with his constant injuries and him with thise damn bad angles and missed tackles. Greenlaw is legit and people are forgetting, dude had a pick 6 week 1. If anything we have 3 legit and possibly the best Lb unit in the league

In hindsight, yes. Looking back at old threads I would get bashed for thinking Greenlaw was the future and if money didn't play a factor he would've began last year as the starter.

If Azeez has another strong showing this week he's going to make it tough to decrease his snap count. And maybe make it easy for the coaches to say "hey Dre, how about we put you on a pitch count until you get your feet back under you."
Surprised this kid didn't get any love for his magnificent game last night! He's a keeper!
I personally think Greenlaw is quite a bit better. Al-shaiir is playing very well but I'd wouldn't decrease green laws playing time at all

Greenlaw just helps give that 1-2-3 punch at LB. Push Azeez back to being a really solid 3rd LBer.

This. He's been filling in better than I expected but I still believe Geenlaw is a notch above him.
I'm beginning to like him more than Greenlaw. He may make mistakes on occasion but that no hesitation, quick strike, move like a safety, strike like a backer got me excited of what Al Shaair can be as he improved with experience
He was out there HITTING.

NOT more than Dre.... at this moment.. but he's heading that way... he's more PUNISHING than Dre but he's not as instinctive ... I remember when Warner was a rookie, you can tell he was playing w/full instinct only..

Azz is becoming a very legitimate LB in the league... and I hope he can stay healthy...

PLUS... he seems to be more of a natural and vocal leader than Warner..

He's earned an official 9MOON nickname...

THE PUNISHER !!!!
This guy has turned into a heck of a football player!!!
How about we have a nice rotation at LB like we supposedly do, or did, on the DL. Let them rotate once Greenlaw comes back so our LBs remain fresh. No need to completely bench one or the other. Let Greenlaw and Warner start, next series Al Shaair comes in for Greenlaw, following series Greenlaw comes in for Warner and then so on and so forth. Less wear and tear on our young studs and less fatigue throughout the game.

This. Greenlaw is definitely better than Al-Shaair, and that's no knock on Al-Shaair. Greenlaw is more consistent and has become a playmaking LB along with being an excellent complement to Warner. Add in Al-Shaair and this LB group is one of the strongest in the league.
