We need to lock this guy up now for sure. Played an awesome game at MLB yesterday!

idk if I believe that account or not, anyone can make a twitter with the NFL or NFL Team in it, and seem like an insider, plus I have a friend who had some racist things said to him from that account, but as for Azeez, I'd like to see them extend him, and also Greenlaw.

He could make Greenlaw expendable. Hope we could keep them all but if it comes down to an impact fa cb or a third lb we have to go with the secondary

Agreed, he may have made Greenlaw expendable, not due to Dre being injury prone or anything, but because he's just played so damn good, and yes, we should find an impact CB, rather than pay a 3rd LB, I mean if we can get both signed for like $5M a yr or less both, then ok, that won't be an issue cap wise. But I hope the 49ers do sign a FA CB, a top one, just not someone who has 1yr of production, I want someone, who is young, but also have proven he's a damn good CB.

Agreed corner has been our weakest position for decades it seems like. It's about time we address this once and for all.

I was hard on him earlier in the year because of missed tackles and not being quite as good in coverage as Greenlaw, but he's really stepped up and gotten so much better with more playing time out there (imagine that!)

Really love our group when all healthy.

DFF stinks though. Not sure what they see in him.

I laughed last year?(i think) he was terrible, horrible angles in run support and coverage. But dang he got better.

I can see them looking at moving him or greenlaw. Either trading dre or 2nd round tender al shaair(dangle him) and see if anyone bites.
Modern NFL leaves very little room for 3 starting caliber LBrs. Especially a team that has 3 good box safeties.

Kyle likes to stay on the cutting edge of offensive and defensive scheme so we could move to a more LB heavy defense considering how rangy our LB's are.

They suck at drafting corners. Flat out. Witherspoon, Thomas, Lenoir, DJ Reed, and Tim Harris are not starters.

Corners have been a weakness but they hav ehad other areas that they targeted in the draft in the early rounds so they tried to address that position through free agency. Sherman and Verrett were both signed to do the job but one wa sway passe dhis prime and the other can't stay healthy. Spoon wa s aproject base don his size but never learned how to turn around and locate the ball. Lenoir is still young somI woildn't write him off too soon.

I'm thinking they will address it this year in the 2nd round since they don't have pressing needs at other high profile positions. If the get a 2nd rounder for Jimmy we could see 2 DBs selected in that round. It depends on who is sitting there and how strong the DB class is next year.
Reminded me a lot of Bow. Lots of instinct. Slice and dice. Maybe not a consistent tackler but he consistently bring it.
Glad to see this guy grow over the years. He is turning into a play maker meaning he makes game changing plays and talent is not a indicator becoming a playmaker. Either you got it or you don't.

Yeah it's a little difficult to say we suck at drafting corners when we never use a high pick on any of them. We need to either get a good free agent, trade for a very good player or use at least the first or second rounder on one which we hardly ever do..

I think his improvement says a lot about DeMeco Ryans, as he was the LBs coach, look at how good Warner is, and Dre is, just need better backups.

Agreed, plus Ambry & Lenoir need time to develop, not like the top CBs became great overnight.
.. AND the more you watch this kid play, the more his leadership comes out..

Pretty soon, he will be the vocal leader of this D !!

For one year we had a shutdown corner - Deion. Prior to that we had HOFer Jimmy Johnson.

Aziz, Warner, Greenlaw. Even with base defenses dying, I'd love to make it to the playoffs just to see what we can do with these 3 on the field together.

A situation where a team has to run. Hope we can keep all 3. We've been really lucky in the linebacker department for 10 year. Willis, Bowman, Brooks, Aldon Smith for a short time, and now Warner, Greenlaw, and Al-Shaair. Hope we can keep it going.
Need to extend him now before he gets too expensive.

I don't see 3 lbers happening. They are rangy but i still will not feel comfortable with Al shaair carrying anyone down the seam.

I think they are looking at 3 safeties, a Ward, Tartt, Hufanga type setup.
I think they let tartt leave though. Then they look to get an isaiah simmons, tyran Mathieu, budda baker, myles jack, jalen ramsey type weapon in rounds 2-5.
