I'm confused if this was sarcasm or not... you do realize that the NFL is a business and if they continue to get hit with CTE class action lawsuits, that, coupled with a reduction in young players playing the game, will lead to a decline in the sport? The NFL obviously doesn't want that, and they've made the calculation that a less intense, more passing attack version is what the average fan wants and what will be the best for the brand and it's longevity.

Reminds me of Drew Brees' neck vs Ahmad Brooks in '13. Although, Lynch's neck gets extended even more, and in a different direction.

Agreed 100%. Anyone craving for those types of helmet to helmet hits has either not played the sport (and not been hit that way) or has mental issues and should seek counseling. The sport is PLENTY violent without the helmet to helmet contact, concussions, CTE, reduced life expectancy, and lower quality of life after football.
