Good Lord...i watched most of the game and my prediction that we beat Cleve is now in doubt. Reason? The Cleve DLine looks to me as tough as and equal of the DEN DLine which just pasted jimmy a few days ago. Really, even if the Bucs had krapt for an OLine (and they might), the Cleve DL scares the pants off me. Dang there are some really fine DLs out there...and that includes ours.

The thing learned however, was that our DL isn't going to carry us this season. There is LOTS of talent out there on DLs. And Myles Garrett wasn't even playing i don't think. SHeesh. We better fix the OG/C /OG interior or we are D.O.A. Before we even start.

In retrospect i guess the thing i would have done as HC (Ha) was to not let JG start against the DEN 1s with our OG/C/OG all being 2s and 3s. THAT was the mistake made. Not that jimmy started, but that kyle and JL were trying out different guys for the #1s position at all 3 slots, giving us truly krapt OG to OG. No wonder JG got shellshocked. We had one of the league''s best DLs teeing off on our 2s and 3s....with Jimmy back there? Now that was especially poor planning. i get why it happened. It is just that no way should jimmy have been playing behind 3 guys trying to make the team against DEN 1s.

That was the mistake. And it was a pistol. Kyle saw that and the moment he went 0-6 with an INT (oh 1 completion for no yards), kyle got him out of there. No point in reinforcing in jimmy that every snap would result in an incompletion and getting beaten up side the head...and body...and arms, legs,.

Gads what a nightmare that was.

I trust next time out, kyle will have guys who have started before and protected JG out there. No more trying to see if our 2s and 3s can play against #1 DLs...while Jimmy is in.

Jimmy's 1-6 0 yards was the best thing that could have happened. It made people shut up about Super Bowl / Playoff / "We will dominate!!!" predictions. The fan base needed a little humbling and brake-tapping.

Yeah bc you can tell so much by preseason with a backup 4th string o lineman and backup guards playing center. Haha. I guess mayfield and cousins dismal performance caused browns and Cleveland fans to be humbled as well

When I read that the Bucs had signed Vinny Testaverde to fill in for Gabbert, I thought they signed his dad. Isn't he like 60?!? lol
