NFL hopes ban on Oklahoma drill trickles down to all levels of football

don't mind the Oklahoma drills just not this time of year. with they way some teams are training, we're not even getting guys to training camp before they are done for the year. contact this time of year should be limited to walk thru's and no more than half speed. no one in the league should be out for the season for a drill that takes place in may. Strength and conditioning should be the name of the game this time of year.

Thanks for sharing this information as I have been looking for an expert on this matter. So as an expert, can you answer these two questions?:

1. What was the percent of CTE for the control group, or the general public?

2. Using the science and data that you have, can you explain why ALL football players do not get CTE?

Big Tobacco asked the same questions

Why would big tobacco be concerned with CTE?

You missed the point or you're just playing dumb. Obviously its an issue, otherwise the Nfl wouldnt have tried hiding it for so many years. They had to pay a lot of money and lost in court. If you dont belive that smashing your head into another person or equipment doesnt lead to brain injuries than this discussion is pointless and we can only hope you never have kids.
Lol. How unpleasant.
Lol at you guys attacking the post

Wtf does this have to do with politics? Are you trying to say that conservatives dont believe in CTE lol? What a fail post.
Michael Irvin said it best, "every play is like being in a car accident".

I think he's saying that "Left-winged disaster's" care about the longevity of an athletes career and the health of a sport and the other side only cares about seeing people get annihilated and having their career ended early... for the sake of entertainment...

I also have noticed that these things tend to turn political when reasoning breaks down or is non-existent. So, make believe becomes the preferred platform to base argument.

Then don't play football.

Somebody else will gladly take your spot and suffer the consequences.

The individual who made the post was explaining that he was going to raise his child to be tough and the "old ways" and other posters are belittling him basically calling him a monster, that's more of a reflection of what our American society has become than million dollar athletes getting CTE ( if they came out with a survey more players would be in favor of playing a more physical game)

Don't worry nobody will get CTE anymore when the NFL becomes sarcasticball then eventually defunct

Not suggesting anyone should or should not play football. The effects of the game are what they are. Hell, you can choose to run across the freeway. You might make it. You might not
