Millennials are killing the game. I guess glorydayz nailed it. Football is not for everyone. Of your to soft - or your children + step away. But nah, if my son is too soft, the game needs to soften. That's the tolerance you always hear people talking about.

And yes, there are bad coaches all around but that's not the point. Power equals weight times speed. If you are too light, be faster and you won't shaken up.

Ya they should go back to very little pads and leather helmets. The generations after the 1960s pussified the game. players were a bunch soft snow flakes with their helmets and heavy padding. Montana was a b***h for wearing a helmet.

A close friend, now retired, was a highly-regarded orthopedic surgeon in a medium-sized suburban area with a strong Pop Warner football program. At one point he was asked to speak to coaches about how they could run their practices to make them safer for kids. He agreed to speak but when he did, he frankly told them that no kid should be playing tackle football until their growth plates were completely settled and secure, roughly 13 years old. Needless to say, he was never invited back.

In the meantime, he kept a separate set of books for care provided to the local Pop Warner team, nicknamed the Bobcats. After five years, he used funds from that account to add an awesome 20'x40' mancave to his house, complete with just about every toy you could imagine. He called his cave, The Bobcat Room.
