Is McNabb a Hall of Famer?

No , neither is Romo. I'd say Rivers is.

Nowhere close
I grew up really liking him and I think he is border line, he might be eventually but def not a first ballot.

Honestly, the more he opens his mouth - the more I dislike him. He seems like such an arrogant, me first type of guy.

Hell no, not even the best Eagles QB in my opinion.
You guys do have to factor in his legs too. This isn't the pocket passer HOF. So that's an extra 3500 yards 29 td's to his resume.

If you put him in you might as well put in every QB who ever had at least one good season. The HOF should be for really special players. Not good players. Not guys that played in a couple of playoffs or went to the pro bowl a couple of times. Like I said before if you have to look at stats and compare him with other guys then he probably doesn't belong in the HOF.
No
Nope

Close, but no. That SB loss will keep him out. If he could've won one then for sure.

In my opinion. Not even close.

Ditto.

I'd even so no on Rivers. To me, Rivers is a numbers only guy. He put up lots of numbers, but are there any signature wins? Any great legacy, resume making games? Any obstacles over come? I think the bar is too low for skill position players and too high for the other players/contributors to the league.

Rivers needs to make a SB before you even consider it.

Definitely not a sure thing, but Rivers is easily better than McNabb or Romo. It's the toughest position, you have to give QB's some extra credit. Team success is great but it shouldn't be exclusionary because not everyone gets drafted into a good organization. I think if you maintain your status as a top QB for 15 years in the league, the hall shouldn't be far off. Either way Rivers is about on the cusp and since McNabb isn't as good, I'd say no to McNabb.

I wouldn't argue in favor of either. I'd agree with the premise of if no to Rivers, no to McNabb.

I remember that, lol. Of course Philly fans do that for any pic they have.

Rivers is absolutely a Hall of Famer, especially if Eli gets in. Eli has two rings but Rivers has consistently put up better numbers and been the better passer by a wide margin. By the time all is said and done, he likely will have over 450 passing TDs. Not sure how you keep him out after that.

The same arguments against Rivers are largely the same ones used against Frank Gore. "Never the best at his position", "never won a SB", "production based on longevity shouldn't be rewarded."
