Is McNabb a Hall of Famer?

Fantasy Football should also have a fantasy HOF ceremony...McVomit could probably get in that way.
Na
I like Rivers but don't see him as HoF. Don't like either Eli or Ben the Rapist and I would like to think neither of them should go in. I don't care how many SB's Eli has, he is nothing special most of the time. Promoting average talent devalues the existing HoF. And I don't even see McNabb as average, in this context.
Nick Foles is better than Mcnabb

Russel Wilson is def on track to be the 6th guy of this generation. dudes got something like 200 tds against 60 picks.

We cant argue the possibility of the 7th or 8th guy (Rivers) (in a passing generation) be in HOF, and still take the HOF seriously.

That's the whole problem with the HOF and their let anyone in attitude.

after pulling the stats, McNabb is very much like his generation's version of a less productive Matty Ice. I certainly don't think Matt Ryan is HOF, so for me this kinda ends this debate in my mind.

I personally would have Warner as a Hall of Famer. He may not of had the longetivty, but during his peak years he was absolutely the best QB in the league. And I have Rivers easily better than Matt Ryan and I won't consider RW for another 5 years but it's looking good for him.

Without looking at stats or team success, id say Rivers is the best after those guys and if you consider he's been on inferior squads facing all time great qb's in the AFC and teams, he's pretty close. If being that good of a QB in the highest level of the game for that long of a time can't get you in, standards may be a little too unreasonable and unrealistic. That high of a standards is almost toxic for the game and the same type of standards that put T.O. in a year later than what he should have been.

Matty Ice has an MVP. To me, a season MVP should be weighted a ton. IMO, a season MVP trumps rings as far as individual greatness goes.

(For example, no way in hell do I believe Eli deserves HOF recognition over Matt Ryan.)

Rivers is borderline and so is Eli. Neither are top 3 in their generation and playing in this passer friendly Era is not going to help their numbers as it compares to those like Marino. Frank also carried this team to a SB something Rivers hasn't done and what he's accomplishing as a runner is far and away more difficult than what Rivers is doing thus far.

Gore had 1,200 yards rushing in 2012, good for 10th in the league. He's had one season in his career where he was arguably a Top 3 RB in the NFL. He was never a first team All Pro.

Like I said, the arguments against Rivers are pretty much the exact same ones that some people use against Gore. Neither Rivers nor Gore were ever the best at their respective positions. Gore has been a 5 time Pro Bowler. Rivers has been an 8 time Pro Bowler. They've both been really good but outshined by some crazy talent at the same position.

They both consistently performed at a high level and did so for a long time but there will always be detractors that point to their lack of top end accolades.

If Rivers plays another 3-4 seasons, much like Gore, his overall #'s will be tough to ignore.

^^^agree

Gore has a chance to pass Barry Sanders and become the third leading rusher in NFL history. That stat alone(if done) locks him into the HoF in my eyes even though I feel he's already in based on longevity and his current yards. Rivers needs to pass guys like Rapey and Eli to solidify his spot.

Longevity IS something that deserves recognition though. Especially in a sport like football. I am all about peak performance, but I think longevity should be rewarded as well.
Donovan McChoke a HOFer? lololol. no.

dude always choked in big games

Naww, esp. with guys like Roger Craig not quite good enuff.
In a game where injuries are so common long, successful careers get rewarded. I think Gore deserves it but not winning a SB could hurt him. If you go to the HOF you see a few guys in there that were never the best at their position but had long careers so they became household names. Playin for a successful team in the east helps too. The people that vote for these things have their favorites too.

Rivers>Ryan imo. Mvp is great but seems like a lot things gotta go right for your team that year for one to even be in consideration.
