And Jimmy doesn't have that #1 defense to work with. Goes to show how some overrate Mac. Jimmy's stats are almost identical to Mac's and Jimmy hasn't been good at all.

Jimmy G is better at this point. However. Mac will be better in a year or 2. It can easily be argued that New England has a top three running game and D and we do not and their line is a lot better in Pass pro too.

And the NE offense is better for Jimmy too, so the difference between the two would be even more than it is now.

Just curious as to why? The pats are all in with Mac even when the league figures him out this year and disguises man coverages as zone, they are gonna roll with him for at least till 2024. Then Bell will retire and they will draft or sign a new QB... who might be JG but years after we cut him.
