If this happened to us, we would have fans acting exactly the same. There would even be a "Fire Lynch/Shanahan" crowd.

Fans can be very selfish.

The forum here vilified Borland when he chose to walk away, and he was not close to Luck's status.

Borland didn't quit after he gave his all...he wasn't even injured. Then the bs anti football message he ran with after his retirement. He is a quitter. Luck walked away after the sacrifice.

The first thing when rebuilding a franchise should always be to have a great oline. Easier said then done.

We tried with Kwame and co. and that set us back a couple of years. "The Dark Ages. "

Probably be back in a year on XFL or the Rams.
whether he's back or not, its a complete joke to go with his last name.
he isnt injured at all.

That's how I'm feeling about this whole thing. This has WWE written all over it.

Ridiculous posts. Not worth a rebuttal.

damn pbms

If it happens I want an apology

In that case, if it doesn't happen - and it won't - we ban you. That seems fair.

That's like saying if it happens than ban you. Remember sports are about storylines just stay tuned

You, as a 49er fan, should know Luck is not allowed to just come back to any team he wants. The Colts own his rights and another team would need to trade for him.

You're replying to same guy that literally believes that all nfl games are scripted lol.

In all Honesty they are though. About half way through the season I will drop my Super Bowl pick and most likely get it right just like every year. It's called reality television.

Not condoning the booing but it's not hard to understand where Colts fans are coming from, those fans feel that they got screwed over from a possible super bowl season, even if it's not Lucks fault. Just horrible circumstances. So tired of everyone trying to take some moral high road, Colts fans love Luck and I'm sure they'll regret it later, unfortunately raw human emotions got the best of them last night

Funny...I'm tired of the opposite. Maybe if ppl took the moral high road sometimes - they would come out looking like decent compassionate human beings.

And, fans thinking they got screwed over is exactly what I mean by fans being selfish and narrow-minded.
Colts have reached "financial settlement" with Andrew Luck and will not take back "any of the money they are owed," per Adam Schefter

Indy could've recouped $24.8M.

Passionate fans who go to games and buy their merchandise. Without the fans there would be no football, and they would have to find a new line of work.

Dude had torn ligaments in his ribs, torn ab muscle, torn up shoulder, a calf injury this year and concussions. His whole body was literally beat to s**t so I def cant blame him. He didnt have too many healthy parts of his body left to give.

I wonder sometimes if his super hype coming out of college contributed to the Colts not protecting him properly. Obviously they were dumb af to put him behind such a crap line season after season, but they prob just thought since he's so "great" he was supposed to overcome that.

IMO to some degree, that kind of applies to himself too. Maybe he was so confident in his abilities that he accepted sacrificing his body for time to keep the play alive. Kind of like when Garoppolo decided to churn for extra yardage and tweaked the leg. Or we always see CJ getting beathard because he keeps waiting. Ultimately, it's on him to guide the team to a win, not necessarily to beast it out every snap. (But, easier said than done and I'm sure the OL and coaching could've helped out more there.)

Anyways, this is not to say he's a defective player. Hopefully, he heals up and figures out where to go from there.

This applies to every job. Without a customer - no one would have a job. When ppl have to retire or quit their job - they don't do it when it's convenient for the customers.

Buying tickets and/or merchandise makes you a customer, you don't get to run the lives of the players.

Classy move by Irsay. Gotta respect that.
Expecting a professional, it's not a game it's a career, to play out a season that he signed up for isn't lack of compassion. Luck took up 20% of the team's cap, there's no way to replace him. It's the nature of the sport. You are reliant on that qb and for him to bolt is devastating. If Colts fans are frustrated I see why. Owners may let Luck keep his money but they're not refunding anyone's tickets are they.

I'm not blasting Luck. You can easily why he retired with his injury report but on the same hand it sucks all of the way around.
