Well that didnt answer the question at all. All good though...
Yeah he's top 3 overall I'd say easily behind Mack and Donald

Wait a second... you get think he's better than Von Miller, Chandler Jones, TJ Watt, the Bosas, Cam Jordan, and Danielle Hunter??

I think he's exaggerating because not one person would say something like that. Even Seahawks fans don't even think he's top 10 at his position or at least the ones I talk to. Hell Id even add Bradley Chubb, Myles Garrett, Z Smith, Demarcus Lawrence, both ends on the Jaguars and so many others. I would literally put him 15th to 20th at his position. But I'm glad, pay him over 20 million for A career worth of less than 10 sacks per season
Clowney looking for top end cash and sounds like the Giants might give it to him....hate it see it

He's played one full season and constantly has a questionable tag next to his name. zero 10+ sack seasons and while he will throw out a dominant performance every once in a while he disappears just as much.

I was actually hoping Seattle was gonna back up the truck for him...NY will do though lol

Take the sack numbers away and in terms of disruption and how he is against the run that alone makes him that much more valuable. Seattle would be stupid to throw that kind of money at him him it looks like they're going to let him walk. Damn

ACTUALLY, the amount he and he's agent is asking for would actually be a GREAT move... WHY wouldn't you ask for the max that you can get ?? '

Well I know I much rather Seattle not have him and us not have to go against him twice a year. He made both our Tackles his b***hes and yes I already know about the injuries. He's not a bad player like some are trying to make him out to be and also not as good as someone is trying to make him

He made our OTs look bad with both coming off long injures and Joe having multiple dislocated fingers in that game...where was Clowney in that important week 17 game?

I didn't say he sucks, I'm saying he's for sure not as good relative to the paycheck he wants.

Unfortunately, very few players are.

This guy is about to be the poster child for a "record contract" that is 80% funny money.

The "guarantees" will be roster bonuses dependent upon him still actually being on the roster in that year.

He has "two years and we'll see..." written all over him.

No one is gonna pay that much for a DE that cant even crack 10 sacks, constantly injured, and coming off a 3 sack season.

Overall, hes a good player since hes also good against the run, but teams dont pay that kind of money for a run stuffer.

Most likely, it will be somewhere between 8-13 mil a year, depending on the team and contract lenght.

Colts or Giants are both dumb enough to. He'll get $18-22 mil per I bet

Ignore ... it was a fake twitter account.

You are worth what they will pay. And that's even with the players getting cheated in the CBA once again.

I'm expecting an incentive-laden $20ish figure.

I hope he resigns with Seattle because I want them to keep and overpay that good run stuffer that can't break 10 sacks for the life of him

Seattle isn't signing Clowney they hardly ever pay out big contracts but as you can see no teams are exactly rushing out to get him on roster for his asking price. His asking price of $23 mil isn't even realistic for most teams lol
