A YouTube sports guy made a great point about how Shaq Barrett can't get payed for actual NFL production while Clowney continues to get payed for College production. Looks like they are learning and I'm a guy who likes Clowney but he's not a elite pass rusher.

Agreed. He's disruptive but only when he wants to be. Seattle called bluff and nailed it now they'll get him for cheap I bet smh

Well that's how much he should get, he cannot break 10 sacks, he is not a great pass rusher at all he's very good against the run and he gets pressures here and there. He also injured a few games per year. The market will give him close to AA money imo

I'd rather not get a sometimes injured player that gets pressures vs sacks. We had that with AA and now he had a better sack season than Clowney EVER did

I still wonder if he'd take a 2 year back loaded deal. He said no to the Dolphins who offered the most and now will either sign with Seattle or listen to more offers. He wants to go to a contender and the prospects of Bosa and Clowney on the edges would wreak havoc for Mobile quarterbacks

I wouldn't mind bringing Clowney in on a 1 year prove it deal. We have cap space right now, and if we need to we can trade Goodwin+Coleman, and easily clear enough space for our draft picks+ a decent 1 year offer to Clowney. I don't see it happening, but adding Clowney would be huge to our D-line.

I'm very much in favor or adding Clowney. Hes the best player available and can stop the run.

Hes just not a top 5 DE like some would claim.
