Are we really going crazy about a dude that has averaged 5.5 sacks/year getting traded for a 3rd? Take away his draft status and we would all say yeah that sounds about right. He's played next to JJ watt his whole career, let's not pretend he's been a huge difference maker in Houston.
Well repeating what others said, Clowney has never lived up to his potential and has never gotten over 10 sacks.
You mentioning fords sacks compared to clowneys is misguided at best because bc he has been injured two years (and wasn't a starter year one whereas Clowney was a starter). Especially since Ford was arguably the best pass rusher last year at creating turnovers as well as having the quickest first step in football.Again Clowney has never been able to get over 10 sacks Ford has done this twice. You mentioned their first round pick that was supposed to go in the second round or third round as having Huge upside? Seems like you are reaching here
