You lol but Clark and Clowney.......

Clark is now playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Guess you didn't watch that preseason game.

Are we really going crazy about a dude that has averaged 5.5 sacks/year getting traded for a 3rd? Take away his draft status and we would all say yeah that sounds about right. He's played next to JJ watt his whole career, let's not pretend he's been a huge difference maker in Houston.
Repeating what I said above: Clowney has 29 sacks in 62 career games. Dee Ford has 30.5 sacks in 67 career games.

Well repeating what others said, Clowney has never lived up to his potential and has never gotten over 10 sacks.

You mentioning fords sacks compared to clowneys is misguided at best because bc he has been injured two years (and wasn't a starter year one whereas Clowney was a starter). Especially since Ford was arguably the best pass rusher last year at creating turnovers as well as having the quickest first step in football.Again Clowney has never been able to get over 10 sacks Ford has done this twice. You mentioned their first round pick that was supposed to go in the second round or third round as having Huge upside? Seems like you are reaching here

Clowney is by far better against the run then Ford though. And a player's draft status shouldn't factor in at all 6 years into his career.

True and Since you were talking about six years into his career, Ford as of now is much better as a pass rusher and turnover machine then Clowney who is better against the run. Big deal. You do realize that this is not so much of a running league anymore right?

Averaged 5.5 sacks/year AND also one of the absolute best run stopping DE's in football. Teams do still run, including us.

And the JJ Watt he has "played next to his whole career", has missed more games than Clowney has...

Hey! That's not cool man. Chandler Jones and Suggs are pretty damn good

Chandler Jones still the best edge in the NFC West and its not close. He truly gets no respect.

Judging by last year's play Ford is a lot better not only at rushing the passer but at getting turnovers.

Called it when it became apparent he wasn''t going to remain in HOU long-term. Just thought he'd play on the tag and sign with the Hawks in FA next year.
Great move by the Seahawks

Almost replied to this until I realized it's arguably the most delusional user on this board. I know you are literally incapable of saying anything positive about Seattle.
Seattle fleeced the s**t outta Houston

How? He is a rental.

They should've paid Clarke.

For what they gave up, which doesn't seem like much, they possibly caught up to the Rams.

When looking at stats sure. When looking at teams it's not really close to be honest. Cardinals were nearly always behind so Jones had to take advantage of the limited pass rushes he got. Ford could just get after the QB after like halftime usually in KC.
Pete will coach him up and he'll probably be the top flight pass rusher that he was hyped to be during the draft. That's just how our luck goes.
Houston just gave Miami two firsts and a 2nd for Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills as well. Their fanbase is livid after this and Clowney deal.

They also traded for Carlos Hyde and a CB from the Pats.
