So did Watt lol, and Watt didnt get too rush from the blind side either.

And its not low, hes good when healthy and motivated. Hes just not elite. But hes a good pass rusher and against run. Hes just not elite.

Watt is a future HOFer and perfectly tailored to be a 3-4 defensive end. Clowney is not a 3-4 guy. It's Clowney in Carroll's scheme that should have people a bit concerned. He makes up for losing Clark very nicely.

I wouldn't say makes up at all. He is an inferior pass rusher to Frank Clark but he is a little better at defending the run. Keep in mind Frank Clark didn't have the help that clown he did. No excuse for getting less than 10 sacks every single year, he's good but not great.

Ya hes definitely a better fit here.

Im a Clowney fan, im a SC alumn so i have to be but i dont think hes gonna put up double digit sacks. Hes a 8 sack guy when healthy and good against the run. Hes great in the Michal Bennet role, not so much as an edge rusher.

Having help doesn't necessarily mean you get more sacks. You can be asked to take on doubles to open up Watt, the olb's, etc. Or maybe you just don't get the cupcake tackle as much.

I can agree with this but it wouldn't shock me if he broke double digits especially if Ansah were to go down.

That maybe true in certain situations but come on, when you have JJ Watt that point is completely invalid. If Aldon Smith clearly had help on the Niners from Justin Smith then Clowney certainly had much more help with JJ Watt, possibly one of the best dl to ever play the game. I bet Clowney will get more sacks on Seattle because the offensive lines in our division are complete garbage for the most part and have huge weaknesses.

I heard Texan fans said. He was injury lot and some missed the games.
Great pick up for seattle

Watch out NFC West if he buys into what Carroll/Board are selling.

He will finally break 9 sacks this year so that's s plus. Glad we have 2 great tackles
Clowney is a lot better than people think. I was pissed when I found out they traded for him. Perfect landing spot tbh.

He is a lot better than people think, as a football player. Really good defensive lineman, stud against the run and collapsing the pocket, tall and long to swat down passes, even decent covering if needed.
He is overrated as a pass rusher.
People in here acting like this dude is Solomon Thomas. "Run Stuffer"

I guess we'll see. I hope you guys are right, but I doubt it
