I dont understand the offsides rule

in 2014 nfccg, wilson's td pass to kearse was after aldon smith jumped in an offside and the refs let them play it

today, similar play for the lions against the packers, and the refs stopped the play

how come?
I'd expect Dallas to win. Things have went their way all season for them to have a losing record and still be playoff eligible.

Now to watch Dallas loose

If Dallas loses to the skins with most guys hurt Garrett and others need to get canned or cut before the game ends

Jerry Jones loves Garrett......for whatever reason (he's a yes man) dude should have been canned long ago

They're not. Oakland is moving to Las Vegas.

Sometimes, refs call it dead sometimes not. That's why many quarterbacks complain. I think it's about between offside (player being just offside) and encroachment (players being offside and touch an opposing player).

If the defensive guy has an unabated run at the QB they will stop the play for safety reasons. If the play can continue they will allow it. It's really the refs call that's why guys like Rodgers and Willow get away with it bc they are NFL darlings. Meanwhile the rest of the schmoes get the 5 yarder with play stopped.

So, if we won, Seattle goes to New Orleans, right?

No, trhe Vikings are the 6th seed no matter what, so they would go to New Orleans. Seahawks would go to whoever wins the NFC East.
46 with the Skins is knocked out
what a throw by Tannenhil to AJ brown.

If they deem the defender unabated to the QB, they can stop the play, similar to a false start.

I believe this is correct. The difference between blowing the play dead and letting it go is encroachment.

I guess personally, I'd like dallas to sign Garrett to a 10 year extension.
