We have a better shot vs the Rams than we do the Bucs who I still see as the NFC favorite. I hope the Rams figure out a way to beat them.

Both are tuff match ups if i had to choose one going through the nfc championship I'd take on the Bucs.

Brady is a playoff superstar....I'd rather face the choker M.Stafford.

It's common sense now not to go through Brady especially in the playoffs but my initial point still rings true history says you don't beat a team 3 times in the same season

First teams rarely meet three times in a year. Secondly, the team that won the first two typically wins the third meeting. Out of the 22 times this has happened 14 wins to the team winning the first two, and 8 wins for the team losing the first two games. History actually proves you wrong. Also, 8 of the 14 wins were by double digits.

Do you have a link to that?

It was just before the Saint's didn't complete the sweep so I added it into my numbers.

I don't know how credible your source is but I hope it's right especially seeing how we'd be facing the rams in LA if we end up having to go through them again

You don't even have a source yet you are acting like you know.

True, Let's roll the rams again it's been easy
I'll be honest, I really hope we don't have to play the Rams again. Losing streaks all end eventually and it's hard to beat the same team 3 times in the same season. I can't forget that the Niners were down 17 points early and only that fierce pass rush in the 2nd half allowed them to get back in the game. Still the Rams had the ball with a chance to win. Eventually Stafford is going to hook up with OBJ or someone else in the end zone for a winning score.

I totally agree. If we think the 9ers are going to roll up the Rams until eternity is a mistake. That little streak will end and we don't want it to end in a playoff game. Save it for week four or whenever regular season.

I think it's time to see Jimmy G and Brady on the same field with our D sending princess to the ground often.

I never understood the logic in this. If you were bad enough to lose twice, you can certainly lose again.

They always say that it is hard to beat the same team three times in one season. However, it happens periodically. Since 1950, it has happened 17 times:
  • 2009 Dallas Cowboys over Philadelphia Eagles
  • 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers over Baltimore Ravens
  • 2004 St. Louis Rams over Seattle Seahawks
  • 2002 Pittsburgh Steelers over Cleveland Browns
  • 2000 New York Giants over Philadelphia Eagles
  • 1999 Tennessee Titans over Jacksonville Jaguars
  • 1997 Green Bay Packers over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • 1997 New England Patriots over Miami Dolphins
  • 1994 Pittsburgh Steelers over Cleveland Browns
  • 1993 Los Angeles Raiders over Denver Broncos
  • 1991 Kansas City Chiefs over Los Angeles Raiders
  • 1986 New York Giants over Washington Redskins
  • 1982 Miami Dolphins over New York Jets (in a shortened season)
  • 1965 Green Bay Packers over Baltimore Colts
  • 1964 Buffalo Bills over San Diego Chargers
  • 1958 New York Giants over Cleveland Browns
  • 1952 Detroit Lions over Los Angeles Rams

Even the opportunity to play the same team 3 times in a season is semi-rare and as such people view completing the task of winning against the same opponent 3 times as rare also.

I'm cautious of wanting to play a specific team in the playoffs. We did this same thing during the Harbaugh years when we all wanted to play the Giants in the Championship game, and then the Ravens in the Superbowl. Both of which we lost.

Its hard to tell which team we would face better against.
