OVERVIEW
Brunskill moved from tight end to left tackle before his senior year at San Diego State, and wound up garnering a second-team All-Mountain West nod at the position. He was a walk-on with the Aztecs, coming out of high school as a second-team all-state pick at center, and didn't earn a scholarship until before his junior year. After winning the team's Co-Offensive Scout Player of the Year in 2012, Brunskill played in all 13 games as a blocking tight end the following season. He had his first receptions the following year (5-31, TD), starting four times. Brunskill garnered honorable mention All-Mountain West honors in 2015, starting all 14 games at tight end (10-112, two TD).
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Very good athlete for the position. Has the footwork and twitch to switch from block to block in opposite gaps. Excellent radar on second level with ability to find and land making his secure block. Has initial burst out of stance with potential to cross-face on NFL level. Flexible and agile. Improving with arm extension at punch. Has feet to mirror edge speed. Diverse athlete in high school with a background in wrestling, lacrosse and volleyball. Tremendous student with work ethic teams want.
WEAKNESSES Needs to eat and lift until he can grow into the rigors of tackle position. Lacks functional strength in lower body at this time. Play strength will be a work in progress for the very near future. Base too narrow as drive blocker, generating little push. Down blocks end in stalemates. Hands catch rather than punch. Gives his frame away and is susceptible to bull rush. Will lean to try and create his power.
DRAFT PROJECTION Round 7-PFA
BOTTOM LINE Intriguing athletic ability for the tackle spot, but will need time on a practice squad for additional schooling and weight work to get his skill and size where it needs to be. Teams could decide to use him as a big blocking tight end, but his best shot to make it in the NFL will likely be as a tackle for a zone-scheme team.

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein pointed out Brunskill would be a decent fit in a zone-style blocking scheme, which is what the 49ers operate.
He use to be a tight end. He's 6'5"

It's Brunskill (two L's). Not that I knew that before about 5 mins ago, lol
Brunskill appeared in 54 games at San Diego State after switching from tight end to offensive line prior to his senior season. As a senior in 2016, he earned second-team All-Mountain West honors after starting 14 games along the offensive line.

From TE to OT with success his senior year. Well, at least he's good at adjusting.

Now that you mention it...remember this play?
I'm revising my prediction from 12-6 to 19-6. Brunskill catches a 17 yard TD pass from Levine Toilolo.
