I sure Hope Richburg is healthy this season, his restructure is horrible, and I don't know why they basically guaranteed him being on the roster or 2020, and almost 2021 as well. Richburg is always hurt, and personally if he isn't healthy for 2020, then I would just move on from him. Brunskill to me played pretty good at both Tackle spots last year, so if he starts the year at RG, then that is good, because we want our 5 best lineman starting.

If we don't draft a premier IOL this year, then that becomes a high priority for the 2021 draft, because Compton+Garland will be FA's, and if Richburg isn't good in 2020, then we should cut him and move on, thus opening up a starting spot at Center.

How confident are you that he'll win the RG job and be a 16 game starter at a higher level than Person?

And what are you basing this off of?

His play last year spoke for itself. I've seen, and continue to see, far more guys get anointed for far less.

Elite play in 2019. He has proven more than literally any rookie has to date.

He was ranked near the middle of the pack league wide.

Incredible play all year. Especially pass protection. Outplayed Staley in some situations and ended as EASILY our 2nd best OL on the season after Staley. Only two sacks allowed. Absolutely incredible. Elite performance considering this background and performance.

Command gettin antsy. We gettin close to the draft! [and not pick an OL early! ]
I like Brunskill, and hopefully he takes the starting RG spot. Having one less position to worry about going forward would be a bonus on our O line.

Haha. You know. IOL, kind of a big deal.

That's fair. But as full time starters? Moseley is probably a good parallel example.
His play in his short window shows more than any production in college would. Why are you more confident a rookie will play better?

Yes. If you (not specifically you) saw some high/mid round rookie perform the way he did last year, we'd all be pumped about the future with him. Somehow he's discarded because he cane from AAF

He's worth much more as a tackle than a RG. I hope we grab our RG at 31.

Hear that. I'm certainly not discounting him...just saying 50 snaps at RG with Tom Compton as backup scares me. Some players like Garland can get by for a few games and then get worse with time. 16 games is a ton for depth players. You train differently. Mindset is different. And what's his ceiling? Is he already at it? I'm so happy we have him but very worried at the same time when your FQB is the one most at risk if it's a fail.

It certainly seems like they are now more comfortable with him at G now. I don't knows if that's because of his actual skill set or team need.

He played something like 476 snaps total at OT/OG with 7 starts and looked great wherever they played him.
