I dont care what a guy is regarded to be. Aaron Lynch was a 5 star DE in HS.

You are seeing what you want to see to support your argument. I don't see how we are better off if either play. This is the byproduct of a cap.

For DB and WR assessment, one guy I trust is Crocker and he definitely saw him playing at a pro bowl level prior to the injury last year and the mental issues kicking in. I like his assessment because he's very objective and knows what to look for. I think quite a few here feel was playing and had played at a high level too for various stretches.

Either way, I just don't see the parallel to Compton but I understand where you're going with that.

I'm not sure I agree. Witherspoon was regarded as having a lot of talent and was an excellent scheme fit and not just because of his physical measurables.

And he's proved that already at the pro level during several long stretches. He's just never been able to consistently do it and seems to have a mental block or confidence issue. But all the talent is clearly there. Like Pettis. But Witherspoon has the work ethic too.

Compton has been garbage no matter where he's gone. He's just not a talented OL even upon getting drafted in the 6th round of the 2012 draft.

Spoon was lights out before he hurt his foot. Shut Mike Evans down easily and I thought maybe, this is his year. Last quarter of the season and playoffs were a disaster. Your obviously better of if they play and gain confidence. Part of Spoons confidence came from the front 4 beasting, then injuries happened and they didnt do as well for a stretch too. You only give up a guy who has clearly quit, Pettis is close I think but Spoon I'm holding out hope for.

A 3 game sample means very little to me when it's followed up by mediocre play then awful play in the playoffs.

Have you ever seen Witherspoon and Pettis in the same room?

This front office's ability to find good players off the street is really something. Brieda, Brunskill, Bourne, EMoseley, Demontre Moore.
