If he's starting at RG, who is going to be the swing tackle?

We don't know what we have in Coleman...

I'm pulling for McKivits, the younger the OLine, the better, in my opinion. Having said that, I don't care who wins the battle as long as that line can stop the likes of the KC interior rush and Aaron Donald twice a year.

Yup. Or it could even be that he's still the swing, (dude proved to me that he can be a starting Tackle in this league last season), and then Mckivitz or Compton goes to RG.

Doesn't mean that the niners should try to upgrade.

Upgrade with who? Explain please....show me other teams "swing tackles" that are head and shoulders above ours lol.

Love a response to this...

Word was that before Coleman got hurt that he was far and away the backup LT, supposedly looked great in camp

Was a starter in CLE. He may not be a world beater but not really sure what folks want from a swing tackle.

The more depth - the better for us during the season. McKivits is a 5th rounder, so that's the sweet spot for ShanaLynch. *IF* this 5th rounder is as good as the average of the 3 previous 5th rounders ShanaLynch has picked in the draft -- McKivits is going to be all-pro in a year or two.

If Brunskill and McKivits make the team and solidify the depth, I feel really comfortable in our OLine going into the regular season. Hope we have a pre-season where we can see both play and have our own personal evaluations of these guys.

I'm guessing the fans want a pro bowler as a backup.
