Ah, okdkid was leading the fan club.
McGlinchey is 6'9" so that makes it challenging. He's better on the move on the edges. If you push him inside, him getting pancaked will happen even more frequently than it does already.
He had the same kind of injections Dee Ford had in his knee. Given h oi w skinny he still is, my guess is his knee is shot and the weight loss was a tactical move to eliminate some of the stress on his knee. That, or his knee is fine now but he was never able to work out and build that muscle and size back up.
The truth is, he's an average at best to below average pass protector but elite run blocker and that's a Kyle staple. That's not going to change so Kyle better scrap the classic pocket QB and add some more mobility.

I must be. One of you guys who knows far more about zone blocking OL than me has been all in on Brunskill. On another note back to the guys that know more than me about this stuff, could MM be kicked inside a la Alex Boone? Or is that wishful thinking?

It would be nice if Brunskill sticks at C going forward, makes moving on from Richburg that much easier this off season.

Only if he plays at a high level with high IQ. That's badly needed to make this OL and offense go.

I actually prefer if Brunskill can 1) start at RT 2) be a swing tackle before of his background. But if he can catch on a center, great. Hoping we have some real competition for MM next year as well as Richburg.

If T. Williams is brought back, I would be down with Brunskill battling McGlinchey for the starting RT spot. If Brunskill wins, then McGlinchey easily becomes trade bait.

Brunskill should be starting in 2021, this is my ideal OL
Trent(LT)-Laken(LG)-Mack(C)-Brunskill(RG)-McGlinchey(RT)
Skule(Swing T)-McKivitz(OL)-Rookie(IOL)
The final(9th) spot is up for grabs, guys like Richburg(if he takes a pay cut), Garland, Grasu, Coleman, Rookies would compete. McGlinchey needs to step up in 2021, if not, he's a goner, or they sign him cheap in 2022, since I don't see them picking his 5th yr option up.
I'd love to sign Alex Mack in FA if that's our one signing that we make, and if we make a 2nd, Desmond King, this would mean someone like Verrett or K'Waun doesn't re-sign. My hope is Trent, Juice, & Hyder re-sign, then Verrett takes a low money deal, and the 49ers pony up good Slot CB money for K'Waun, if he's willing to take less, than great.

You want brunskill to play right guard after he got obliterated last year? And you're fine with McG at RT?

i think you have to give me credit for placing so many positions and not really having time to learn.
