I happy with the trade . He will open the field for deeboo and kittles. These will be more like 4th and 5th round picks. The window is now. Good job Lynch. Can't keep waiting for these young guys to hopefully show up. He is a Proven leader and receiver

Sanders in the last year of his deal. This is just a rental. That 3rd round pick would be a steal in terms of salary and years locked into the rookie scale.

That 3rd rounder is doing nothing for them at the moment. Assuming that they pick late 1st, trading back 4 to 5 spots would recover the value of a late 3rd rounder.

Let me know Hurds contribution in 4 years vs Sanders this year. kthxbye

Baalke got Anquan Boldin for a 6th.

And if Anquan had an Achilles injury, he would have upped it to a 2nd.
I like our young guys, but man it has been so obvious we needed an upgrade at receiver.
4. Does this help us BEAT the Pats in the Super Bowl this year?

That would be amazing if we get there. The Pats would shut us down if we don't have another threat so it's a good trade in that sense. Pats D shut down Pitt but I'm still not sold that their D is that solid.

A third and a fourth? Really?
You know that´s the first time I don´t understand the front office.
The raiders paid less for AB.
I don ´t get the urge to get a WR.
We had enough number 2 I think and if they could just try to not drop half the time, everything was fine.
Shanny is way too impatient with the receivers he wanted in the draft the last two years.
That´s Pierre Garcon 2.0 waiting to happen.
We made this try like we´re going all in for the superbowl. Let´s try first to go to the PO for once.
And could we just stop trading with the Broncos?

Dude it was basically a 3rd they got a 5th back. We swapped picks. Low 4th high 5th is gonna be a difference of 20 spots.

You won't be throwing up watching sanders on the field the rest of the season. He's a damn good WR

There you go. To all saying our receiving core is fine, the same coaching staff who you say agrees clearly did not.

Yep I'm so glad these people aren't the general manager. We all know we needed this and we may never have a shot like this again. I know we are set up for the future but s**t happens. Injuries and other teams getting better or whatever the reason, sometimes it just doesn't happen. We thought we were going to win a Super Bowl with that elite defense and running game with Jim Harbaugh and it did not happen.

Here's another fun fact for you, he will be getting a lot of attention which will open up everyone else. Trust me. And once Trent Taylor comes back that will be deadly. This way if Trent Taylor gets injured we still have a guy that could play the slot or outside. Versatility is key and Shanahan knows it.
Exactly my point. You can't always just hope for the next year. Anything can happen and it can all come crumbling down. We went from stomping teams into the dirt to the laughing stock of the nfl in a few short years. At some point you gotta strike while the iron is hot and take advantage of what's in front of you.

We're 6-0. There's a very good chance we make it to the post season. You gotta give yourself every opportunity to make it THIS year. Not next, not 5 years from now. We really didn't mortgage our future either. We didn't pull a Ramsey trade but we did give our receiving core a better chance for a couple day 3 picks.

I'm worries it's going to screw our carry over cap

Yeah that's what I'm not feeling great about.

Our loosing years are to blame for that xD "must hoard all the pickkss"

All my buddies of different teams are saying we got a good fit and good value.
As long as he stays healthy we're going to be happy we got this guy.

Agreed, already don't have a 2nd in 2020.

They traded what likely(hopefully) will be late 3rd and 4th rounders for a savvy veteran receiver and an early 5th. Trading back a few times can help recoup those picks.

Yep people acting like they are picking at the top of the round. The 4th they gave up and the fifth they receive will probably only be under 10 spots
Sanders also brings a lot of post season success to a young team that does not have it
