WR Emmanuel Sanders, BUF

The asking price for WRs was incredibly inflated this year unfortunately. A 4th straight up would've been a perfect deal in a normal year. But the Sanu deal made him at minimum worth a 3rd. I think the competition pushed that further, hence the deal we got stuck making. Let's hope some desperate team trades up with us in the draft this year, or we are able to off-load a surplus guy for draft capital. If he balls out, and we win a Super Bowl, not a soul here should have reason to complain. Hope it works out.

At the same time, this also tells me a few other things:

1. We believe strongly in the guys we have and that draft picks will have a hard time beating them out.

2. Because of #1, it seems like the team intends to make a strong push to retain its proven core players, and that means less room for rookies.

3. Bye, Jordan Matthews!

Solid post OTC

Anyone who thinks he's not a good WR obviously doesn't watch much football. Sanders is perfect for this system. Sure handed too. Dig it!!!!

I have him on my fantasy team too.

I happy with the trade . He will open the field for deeboo and kittles. These will be more like 4th and 5th round picks. The window is now. Good job Lynch. Can't keep waiting for these young guys to hopefully show up. He is a Proven leader and receiver

Perfectly spoken people are forgetting the third and fourth round pick is most likely going to be in the high 90s and 130s and it's going to be a top five pick in the fifth round and we all know how good we are at picking in the fifth round
Cincy probably asking for two seconds and a left nut sack for AJ Green.

This. The difference between that (expectedly) late 4th and early 5th isn't going to be much.

So really its a likely late 3rd rounder plus the value of a 6th rounder going to Denver.

Thank you for saying something logical I don't think people are thinking before they post. Either way we really don't have a weak link on this team now

We are giving up a Very LATE 3rd rd pick and LATE 4th rd pick. We get back an early 5th rd pick. Not the end of our draft.

Plus look at the success we have had with undrafted FA's.... Breida, Mosley, Wilson, Al-Shazzir, etc not to mention getting guys like Kittle in 5th rd, Skule, DJ Reed, Julian Taylor, etc all late round picks.

Watch us trade our first to move back into the second and we recoup the third rd pick

Looking at it that way - I'm coming around to it.
Really feel like we could've gotten him with just a 4th or a 4th and Goodwin or something. I mean, we all wanted to trade for a WR but we do have like 27 receivers on the team already which won't be utilized so I think we should've sent one their way with just ONE draft pick

LOL Forreal though
Is Sanders really that much better than what we already have?

Hes on pace for 900 yds and 4-5 TD's, so I guess. Just seems like a lot for a guy Denver needed to deal. Rental player who is 32. Hm.

If hes good, great trade. If hes mediocre, our 2020 draft is going to suck.
dont like the move at all. was hoping to get more pt and snaps from our youngsters at the position. and he is 32 years old.

but the price isnt huge. a 3rd and a 4th for a 5th. small gamble.
Is it a fact that we own his comp rights if he walks? Because if we do and we get, say, a 4th round comp pick next year then we basically traded a 3 and a 4 for a 4 and a 5 plus a quality receiver for 10+ games. That works for me.
Taylor, Hurd, Samuel are injured, Goodwin has concussion issues....we were getting pretty thin at WR. 3rd and 4th seems a bit high...but whatever.

As long as we hit on our 1st pick.

my my... after being lectured to for the last two days.. we do not need anyone. we like our guys. we just need to develop our guys.. oh and kyle knows better than you fans cuz he SAID we do not need anyone.. you go by what they do and not what they say,,, and despite what some homers think... we were not fine with our current crop of underachievers,., now kick jordon out of here. and maybe you trade a guy like pettis or bourne for a 5th or 6th to try to get some picks back. and cj for a 6th,, great trade.. exactly what we needed. he is better than anyone not named kittle on our team. he can start on sunday right away.. my my.. it seems like many of us fans were lock and step with kyle
