An absolutely horrible trade. We now don't have any picks in the 2nd,3rd or 4th rounds. A 3rd and 4th round pick for a 32 year old receiver who's a free agent at years end and a 5th rounder. We way over paid.

my my... after being lectured to for the last two days.. we do not need anyone. we like our guys. we just need to develop our guys.. oh and kyle knows better than you fans cuz he SAID we do not need anyone.. you go by what they do and not what they say,,, and despite what some homers think... we were not fine with our current crop of underachievers,., now kick jordon out of here. and maybe you trade a guy like pettis or bourne for a 5th or 6th to try to get some picks back. and cj for a 6th,, great trade.. exactly what we needed. he is better than anyone not named kittle on our team. he can start on sunday right away.. my my.. it seems like many of us fans were lock and step with kyle
He likes to pat himself on the back when stating the obvious pans out, just let him have it.

You think they gave up extra comp just for the heck of it? That was the going rate after Sanu went for a 2nd.
Not only do they add Sanders, they kept him away from other NFC competitors such as Carolina, New Orleans and Green Bay.
Yup. John Lynch better get on his knees for John Elway because we just cock blocked those other teams
That made laugh.
s**t just for that, I love this trade!
Thanks for getting on board but it's kind of true. Take care brother this really helps us be with the best of them for the Super Bowl. He gets open quickly and that's exactly what we need especially with the injuries we have on offense. Jimmy needs this and so do we.

The Patriots got the cream (namely Sanu who is by far the better player), instead the 9ers got the bottom of the barrel by overpaying someone who won't add to the current WR corps with the active players we have. Big mistake in my opinion.
Don't kid ourselves, our hope lies in whether Jalen Hurd will be able to come back who is a difference maker type WR that the 9ers need and not just another small and shifty guy that we have in abundance.
I don't think you understand Kyles preference

Safeties will be busy helping defend sanders and Goodwin deep (assuming he can catch the ball). And drawing less attention to kittle. Juice and Breida coming out of the back field .

If Sanders can stay healthy then is a solid pick. Our WR Corps has been awful. Shanahan prioritizes separation with his WRs and we're just not getting it right now. Petrie has been mediocre at best this season. Deebo has flashed and Borne has been his usually inconsistent self. JG needs a reliable receiver and Sanders fits the scheme very well. He can uncover quickly underneath and he can stretch the field.
If Taylor were healthy or if Pettis had showed improvement this move probably isn't necessary. For a team 6-0 and having a real shot at making it deep into the playoffs, this is a bold move.
The downside is that we're giving up a late 3rd to rent a player for the remainder of the season. I expect that he'll quickly get extended if he shows some consistency on Sundays. We have a young WR group. Bringing in a proven vet should benefit the entire bunch.
We could also be moving back 1 spot

The price is not much more than a 3rd, and if it doesn't work out and we let him walk, do we get a 3rd back in compensatory?
When you have a shot at a SB, take it. If Sanders can take pressure off our other guys, that can make the difference. I don't think our DL depth can hold next year.
The only reason to borrow from the future is if you have a shot Now. We Do.

This is the type of guy I want on my team! He's thinking about the 8 year old kid that is wearing his jersey!
We may be able to recoup those picks with draft day trades, if not I'm good with Dee Ford and Sanders. It would be hard to land a 3rd or 4th round receiver that can help our offense right now. Plus he seems like a great mentor for the young recievers.
Question is, since we traded picks and not a player. Who gets cut to make room for Sanders spot on the roster?
Bourn, James, D-lineman?
Mathews and it aint even close.

Yes during game time, but during practice he will add pressure for everyone to step up. Roster spots becoming slim.
"Oh you thought your job was safe? Feeling good being 6-0?" Classic Bill Walsh move.

He restrained himself and stopped short of blaming the OC. He told the reporters to be real and that they all knew what the problem was on offense.
Isn't their OC our former QB coach?
Yes but after the first 15-20 scripted plays he becomes a fish out of water... like literally. Look at their first drives compared to the rest of the game or the drives to start the second half. If he gets to have time to plan out plays he has success but in the heat of the moment he gets schooled by every D coordinator in the league.

lol Sanu is a far better player? Hes never been better than Sanders. Sanu isn't even outperforming Sanders this year, and is 2 years younger.

Sanu is younger, not better.
