But I guess this fanbase went from rooting for losses against rivals just for a draft pick to being a championship contender in less than a calendar year. Might take some time for some people to catch up.

I'm with you 💯

We may be able to recoup those picks with draft day trades, if not I'm good with Dee Ford and Sanders. It would be hard to land a 3rd or 4th round receiver that can help our offense right now. Plus he seems like a great mentor for the young recievers.

Question is, since we traded picks and not a player. Who gets cut to make room for Sanders spot on the roster?
Bourn, James, D-lineman?

Mathews and it aint even close.

Oh yea! I forgot we brought him back.

That's great, arrow up for the receiving core.

Like Harbaugh always said competition makes the team better. Someone's going to the bench, hopefully that someone goes harder to get back on the field!
I wonder what kind of trade value Mullens has around draft time? In particular, there's a team out in the Midwest with an elite defense and "Bortles Midwest" at QB. Oh yeah, they don't have a first round pick, so there's no fix at QB unless they nail QB in 2nd or 3rd round.

We basically traded him for Wishnowsky.
This is our window, have to make the most of it. I'm good with the trade. Lynch has done an outstanding job so far.

I want you guys to seriously look me in the eyes and tell me that he isn't an upgrade for this team right now as it's constructed
How familiar is Sanders with Shanahan's kind of offense?

Great point by Sab "Emmanuel will teach Dante Pettis on how to play the WR position"

He can help, but they're quite deferent. Sanders is smaller, but he's been known for getting tough yards. Pettis still gets flustered in traffic.

The Patriots got the cream (namely Sanu who is by far the better player), instead the 9ers got the bottom of the barrel by overpaying someone who won't add to the current WR corps with the active players we have. Big mistake in my opinion.

Don't kid ourselves, our hope lies in whether Jalen Hurd will be able to come back who is a difference maker type WR that the 9ers need and not just another small and shifty guy that we have in abundance.

lol Sanu is a far better player? Hes never been better than Sanders. Sanu isn't even outperforming Sanders this year, and is 2 years younger.

agreed, horrible take...Sanu is NOT even close to a better WR than Sanders. Rascal has a thing for big WRs regardless if their really that good.

People had a hardon this off season over the possibility of getting Antonio Brown WHO is a yr younger than Sanders. Go watch their games they're very very similar.

Both are around the same size, Sanders is faster, they both are top end route runners, both have amazing feet, and both have great hands. Sanders isn't crazy and IMO is a better athlete overall.
People complaining about giving up a 3rd and 4th like we haven't used picks in those rounds to draft an average punter, CJ Beathard, and Joe Williams.

Sanu and Sanders play different roles. Sanu is a big slot; Sanders plays outside. I'd expect Sanders to take Marquise's snaps.

But sir, can I get some Sanders and Goodwin on the field together in 11 personnel please? I want to see how teams try to defend the speed those two bring while also trying to defend Kittle.

Even for the younger guys it will make their jobs easier as well because if teams are doubling Kittle and Sanders now 2 other people are left wide open. I cant wait for this Go Niners!

I think Kittle is still the guy defenses will bracket on key downs. It's just that now there is a dependable vet WR to exploit a possible 1v1 advantage on the other side of the field.
I think this is a great move at a great price. Can't wait to see the JG to ES connection on gameday.
Who gives a f**k about a 3rd and 4th? For every Fred Warner we get 5 CJ beathards. I like sanders
Good upgrade. As long as he doesn't hinder the team from signing Buckner and Kittle down the road it is a good move.
