WR Emmanuel Sanders, BUF

I think if we have a chance to sign sanders for 4 to 5m we should do it. He's a classy guy and a perennial top 20 receiver.gives instant credibility to every route on our route tree.

Will he take away development time from Bourne learning how to creatively drop important balls?

Yeah. So?

If he was on the Niners last year he wouldn't have done s**t and most of the people calling for a signing right now wouldn't be singing the same tune.
We need him back ASAP.
This dude was the #1 WR with M.Thomas out most of the year in a pass happy offense, and was only able to get 500 yards. Unless he comes in at $3M max, I say nah.
Nah pass. He can kick rocks after dipping out last year for the taints

You want to pay 4 to 5 million a year for a guy to be the 3rd receiver?

Not trying to start a fight but what receiving group?

We have just signed River Craft for goodness sake and at this point it's likely he'll make the team.

Deebo, Bourne and Aiyuk? Bourne may not be back. Deebo has had nagging injuries and has missed a lot of time. Aiyuk had a great rookie season but he too missed time. Trent Taylor? River Craft? Travis Benjamin?

I won't say that we are "set" at receiver. But that's a high number for a number 3 guy. I do view Sanders as a guy that can start if needed, but our cap space is limited. That is my only real issue with this. If we can somehow get him for a value around what Bourne would've gotten, I'll take that. Otherwise, get a younger and lower cost option.

I would gladly eat an additional three million of our cap space to drop bourne and add Sanders. He would not be a number three guy at all. Go to Trent see if he can help us carve out a couple mil for this dude who is a winner and has a long proven history of catching balls

If its just 3 million, you ABSOLUTELY do that. My issue was with the 5 million dollar suggestion. I'd gladly give Sanders a 2 year/6million dollar deal- instant upgrade over Bourne and a starter. Then let day 3 WRs, UDFAs, James, Hurd, Benjamin, and Jennings fight for those last three roster spots.
Sanders over Bourne in a heartbeat.

this team needs a better option than KB as their #3.
If he is worth south of 5m I'd welcome him back with open arms. This is not a good year to overpay WR. Damn, that position could eventually suffer the same as the RB with how many WR kids are entring the league every year.
