Not happy about giving up the 3rd. Wish it was 4th + 5th for Sanders with no need for a 5th coming back to SF. Oh well, WR corp improved!

think a second was too much for Sanu? he is 2 years younger but a higher pick.
Not sure which I'd rather have TBH

Would we get a comp if he doesn't resign?

Remember they were in running for Sanders, so they have to pay a little more

Better have a real framework to lock up all our FA's because now there isn't resources to add cheap players through the draft.
This! Just can't agree with this move.

Agreed.
They can always trade back in to the 2nd-4th rounds this year using 2021 picks or by trading a player like Beathard.
Welcome aboard, Emmanual!

That was a unique situation where Baltimore had to dump Boldin to free up capspace and Harbros worked out a deal.

Hm, he is surely on the decline. Maybe not in exchange for a 3rd rd pick, but I guess it is what it is now.
If he can even take one guy away from Kittle, that's a plus.

They traded what likely(hopefully) will be late 3rd and 4th rounders for a savvy veteran receiver and an early 5th. Trading back a few times can help recoup those picks.
Good point on being late picks in 3rd and 4th. Still think it's too much, one 4th or one 3rd straight up. Hope we can get a 2nd and 3rd for our late first. Still bugs cuz it seems like a rental.

Got their 5th back, which will be close to our 4th

Gave up a lot - would have done it for a 4th only.

Lol lynch got abused by Elway in that trade. Most i would have given was a 5th
Then you would've lost him to the Packers, Eagles, or Panthers

A 2nd was way too high for Sanu. But the Patriots window is closing fast with Brady aging, and they've won multiple championships so they can afford it. We're still building our franchise, and those picks (with cheap contracts) are extremely valuable. I guess we're all-in for this season.
