Achilles.

Dudes rarely comeback the same after that.

Yet he did and has been just as good as always with a crap line and floundering OC.

You're a slave to continuously talking about wanting big guys lol

Sanders game reminds me of AB's game, he's got great hands and speed and gets in and out of his routes quickly.

Does he really have speed at this stage of his career?

Not like he did before the injury, but he still has all of the other tools a wr needs.

Well ok. I really wanted AJ Green. I thought a #1 next year for him why not. Window is open. It's possible the Bengals may want 2 #1s. Sanders is fine. He will instantly add a lot.

Green wont even be back from his injury until at least week 10. Maybe later.
Good trade.

As always, people get hung up on "rounders" when they're discussing picks. Think where we're likely to pick and where's Denver likely to pick in each round.

Effectively we gave up a (hopefully very) late 3rd round pick, a few spots above the compensatories. This is what Denver would have likely got for letting Sanders walk to FA. We also traded down a few places from the bottom of the 4th to the top of the 5th (again, if we continue playing well, and Denver continue to suck).

I have no idea whether Sanders will prove to be the piece we're missing in our offense, but I like the move. Give up almost the equivalent of a compensatory pick, trade down a few places from the bottom of the 4th round. Get a decent, hopefully very good, veteran for 10 regular season games + (hopefully) playoffs. As I said, good trade.
Don't forget we have four guys on IR able to return, but by rule, we can only bring two back. Two of those guys are WR, so we'll get somebody else back and still get to eat our cake.
in 1 game he had the same number of receptions goodwin has all year

Damn, does he look the same this year after the Achilles injury...?

He's still balling, albeit with a disinterested Flacco at QB.

I think suswel and mayo49 are the same person, they are always very negative just ignore them.

LOL. You have become a stats slave. I wonder whatever happened to qualitative research?? Hmm...

You have totally failed to analyze what kind of WR can actually add to the current WR corps.

Last we need is yet another small WR, we have a ton of them.

What we need is someone who can provide more of a matchup challenge with a bit more size and power.

Yup just like Jordon Matthews has done for us this yr

man why are such a size queen....kinda weird

No, which is why everyone wants Jalen Hurd back big time!! And you know it, so don't pretend no one wants a bigger and more physical WR.

As for Jordan Mathews, they haven't even dressed him and they should have.

You keep playing midgets, they get hit once they are off the field immediately straight into the tent like Goodwin, Pettis and even Deebo. They are pussies!! We need bigger and tougher WRs!!
Kyle say anything about E playing against the Panthers?

Sanders
Pettis/Deebo
Taylor
Juice
Kittle

All on the field at the same time.

I do very much which was why he drafted Jalen Hurd as he knew we already had too many small and shifty WRs.

Plus, it was reported we also went for Sanu, so ask yourself why??

The only difference between us and the Patriots is they got the right guy who they wanted and given Lynch failed in his attempt to secure Sanu we forced ourselves to pick up some guy for the sake of picking up another WR and nothing more. A 3rd and 4th for a 32 year old over the hill and soon-to-retire small WR. What a train wreck of a move!!

Emmanuel Sanders vs. Sanu stat comparison:

Sanders:
QB: Joe Flacco (2019), Case Keenum (2018)
2018 stats: 12 games, 71 rec, 868 yards, 4 TD (also added 4 rushes for 53 yards and 1 TD)
2019 stats: 7 games, 30 rec, 367 yards, 2 TD
Pro Bowls in career: 2

Sanu:
QB: Matt Ryan
2018 Stats: 16 games, 66 rec, 838 yards, 4 TD (also added 7 rushes for 44 yards)
2019 Stats: 7 games, 33 rec, 313 yards, 1 TD (also added 2 rushes for 3 yards)
Pro Bowls in career: 0

Someone needs to settle down.

He only looks at size and age. He don't care about production.

Someone needs to settle down.

OK, so you have proven you are a stats slave.

How about doing some proper qualitative analysis? How about looking at our current WR corps and analyze what we need?

We already have a ton of these small and shifty WRs. That was precisely why Jalen Hurd was such a fantastic addition before he got injured.

Last we need is an overpaid, over-the-hill, soon-to-retire, 32 year old small WR not to mention who is coming back from a serious injury to add.

What we need is someone with a bit more size and power who can provide more of a match-up challenge.

Congrats to the Patriots. They got the right guy and the player they wanted. As reported we also went after Sanu, so ask yourself why? The difference is, the Patriots got the job done and won the bid. The 9ers was left picking up the pieces, they got desperate and made an impulsive move. Sigh...Just too bad.

Dude, the over-the-hill stuff is easily disproven by his numbers which projected out over 16 games last year put him over 1000 yards despite a terrible QB. Also the soon to retire thing is just made up lol. He is fast, shifty, and sure handed. Hurd will get back into this soon enough and we'll have even more "trait balance".

Just because he's not tall, doesn't mean he can't improve us. That's just silly.

No but Schefter reported that the 49ers pushed to get it done today so he can play vs Carolina.
