Lol, Matthews is not eligible for PS, he's on the 53

Sorry but he's been inactive. We've had 5 active receivers each week. He hasn't played so he might have been on the practice squad. One of the 5 is going to be traded , released or go inactive.

You clearly don't understand how the roster (53 players, 46 active on Sunday) and the PS (10 players not on the 53) work.

Matthews was active against Washington because Deebo was inactive. He's currently on the 53. He will remain on the 53 for a few more days until Nelson is activated from the exempt list, then he'll likely be cut.

That will leave the following WRs on the roster:

Sanders
Goodwin
Samuel
Pettis
Bourne
James

Assuming all are healthy I would expect Bourne to be the 6th/inactive player on gameday (since James is the KR/PR). But Deebo may still be dealing with his groin injury, which would make him the inactive WR.
Would be hilarious if he tried to buy number 10 off Garoppolo.

He's just not big which makes some posters really sad

Well....sorry bout it.. We still have Hurd on the roster.

Our "big" WR is hurt go figure

is it realistic to worry about the 49ers or (Jimmy) trying to force stuff to him to validate this big move? does this add any pressure to Jimmy you think? or the play calling?

Will be nice change from forcing it to Kittle

And judging by his current physique it's clear that Pettis isn't a fan of getting in the gym to get stronger.

Kind of hard to hit the gym when your injured. He's dealt with injuries during both of his offseasons with us. I believe Shanny even mentioned that Pettis was finally starting to get his weight back after the Steeler game.

Bad trade. And I've supported almost all of Lynch and Shanahan's moves, but this dude is old, short, and coming off a serious injury. Past his prime.
Can you give us next weeks lottery numbers, or does your crystal ball only show you the future of the NFL?

Who else. Matthews was on the practice squad. They only have 5 wide receivers active on game day. Trading Goodwin would make sense if they have any thought of keeping Sanders after this year. I doubt they would trade Deebo or Pettis since they're so young unless some team gives them a great offer.

Matthews was not on the PS. He can't be...he was on the 53 man roster and his ass is gone.

Bourne or James go inactive.

1-Sanders
2-Pettis
3-Deebo
4-Goodwin
5-Bourne/James
Mark my words, if Deebo plays he will have more targets than Pettis. Sanders helps the team, but won't help Pettis' lack of focus and lack of physicality.

Let Hurd get healthy, can't be messing with a back issue.

That awesome. I like it A LOT.
He could probably buy 88 off Celek.

Matthews lost his practice squad eligibility years ago.

Yet a ton of people wanted AJ and AB who are both a yr younger than Sanders
Eh. I'm okay with it.

I didn't want to give up a 3rd straight-up though and this is a tiny little more than that. Hopefully we get him to ball out so he can get us a 2021 comp pick to make up for it.
