30 catches this year without a drop. Immediate ROI considering none of these douche WRs we have can hang on to the ball.

It's really a pretty solid trade on all fronts:
Our 3rd and 4th traded for their 5th and Sanders
Our 4th will pretty much be their 5th so that pick is just a few spots back. That makes it a 3rd for 32 year old Sanders. Tough to swallow but he's on the last year of his contract plus he's hurt so if we let him go we will get a comp pick for him.
Imagine if he plays really well, we win a SB and he leaves...we could get a 3 in return all for his services for a year.
Not too shabby ShannaLynch!

seems like a high price to me at first...but the 49ers are likely to pick late in those rounds. Its like a success tax.
If we think about it, we really don't have a mentor at the WR position. We have a few never really done anything types at WR. Now we have a past Pro-bowler who was never been given anything...a guy who had to work for his success.
I would have liked a more physical guy who could have shown our two young guys how to muscle themselves open.... but you can only bid on whats available.
In the end if we look at what we DID get, Sanders has played smarter ball in his later years, and even with subpar QBing his catch% have been very respectable high 60s low 70s. If the ball gets near him...he is catching it. Thats on par with early 90s Jerry Rice. We really lack that kind of dependability at WR right now.

Or Celek could take the spot of Dwelley or Toilolo. Hard to know until Celek comes off PUP and they see him in practice.

Celek probably needs the cash. 10 grand for number 88, his Steelers number.

Welp, you can lock this now.
Emmanuel Sanders makes the 49ers legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Excellent trade.

They haven't had a go to WR. Now they do. That is huge.

Weren't you the one that had a problem with Lynch "sitting on his hands" when the Rams traded TWO FIRSTS for Ramsey? LMAO

Exactly, plus our 2nd round pick (2020) is lighting up the field right now (D.Ford) and a big reason we are 6-0! It's all about how you look at it.

Bourne or James go inactive.
1-Sanders
2-Pettis
3-Deebo
4-Goodwin
5-Bourne/James
James almost certainly active over Bourne as the kick/punt returner.
