Emmanuel Sanders makes the 49ers legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Excellent trade.

I knew it was a bad trade.
Why Shanny? Why?

Sorry but he's been inactive. We've had 5 active receivers each week. He hasn't played so he might have been on the practice squad. One of the 5 is going to be traded , released or go inactive.

Bourne or James go inactive.
1-Sanders
2-Pettis
3-Deebo
4-Goodwin
5-Bourne/James
James almost certainly active over Bourne as the kick/punt returner.

Bad trade. And I've supported almost all of Lynch and Shanahan's moves, but this dude is old, short, and coming off a serious injury. Past his prime.

They haven't had a go to WR. Now they do. That is huge.
Not to get off topic. We definitely don't know why Shanny doesn't play him more. I guess Shanny has a good reason. But he looks good to me.Originally posted by Afrikan:Originally posted by littleken:Originally posted by Phoenix49ers:Originally posted by CatchMaster80:Sorry but he's been inactive. when they show that James highlight from the Redskins game, they never show the route he ran... it was SICK! I'm not sure our other wrs could pull that. Maybe Trent.

It is not as if they got a 2014 Emmanuel Sanders, a healthy AJ Green, or a stay out of trouble Antonio Brown. Emmanuel Sanders is a solid receiver, but nothing more. I wouldn't call that a "go-to-receiver".

Our 3rd and 4th traded for their 5th and Sanders
Our 4th will pretty much be their 5th so that pick is just a few spots back. That makes it a 3rd for 32 year old Sanders. Tough to swallow but he's on the last year of his contract plus he's hurt so if we let him go we will get a comp pick for him.
Imagine if he plays really well, we win a SB and he leaves...we could get a 3 in return all for his services for a year.
Not too shabby ShannaLynch!
