My first thought was that's a lot to give up for Sanders. Then I considered the following-
1. When Hurd comes back, all of a sudden our WR room looks pretty good w Sanders, Deebo, Bourne, take your pick of role players from Taylor, James, Pettis, Goodwin etc...
2. We don't necessarily have a lot of NEEDS now. Aside from OL and then Secondary/LB Depth we're pretty set.
3. Yes, initially it seems we're losing picks rapidly. But now in year 3 I'm more than confident in our FO to recoup some of those picks.

I fully trust the Brick by Brick process!

It's #UnitByUnit
Is there a chance Sanders is willing to sign for a discount? Or is he 100% just a rental?

I don't doubt it since we don't throw to ours very often. That better change now. No more excuses for Jimmy that he doesn't have good receivers. Sanders may not be great but he's at least experienced and a solid performer.

Still has a couple of excuses ... LT and RT

The most crucial part of this whole trade is that we got a 5th. You do know what we do with 5th rounders right?

Same as top 5 overall.
Real quality situational roster move.
Cost of doing business.
Walsh woulda loaded up each season for a run.
It's what we did.
And, oh snap! We're making a run again.

We're not doing that. If he balls, he'll get paid.
While the price was higher than ideal, the trade equates to a second half 3rd round pick or bottom third 3rd round pick. Nothing we can't recoup from if he doesn't perform like we need him to. If he performs, well worth it considering the poor production from our WR's.
I'm watching his film right now, gonna try and put together a video for tomorrow. So far, he looks really smooth in his cuts. Runs slants and outs like it's nothing.

Lol #whateveritisBywhateveritisnt...I'm all for it!
Because we already had our bye and Denver has not, Sanders could potentially play in 17 games this season
If Sanders helps us bring the sixth ring, it'll be all worth it!
