Enough. NE is missing theirs too as well as their #1 wide receiver pick and it hasn't slowed them down. Time for Jimmy to up his game. Kyle too. No more playing it safe. If we are going to give up a 3rd rounder we need to use Sanders. Otherwise it was a bad trade. The defense has been taking pressure off the offense so far this year. Time for the O to return the favor.

He said he wants to play in a offense that will maximize his talent in a contract yr.
Meh. It's not bad but when you factor in the circumstances that created such a desperate need (Pettis, Samuel being disappointing), it's sort of a bummer. This trade is going to get murdered in hindsight if Sanders gets hurt. Isn't he coming off an achilles? Coaching staff is going to need to do some back peddling on its comments on the current WR staff.
I expected a Julio Jones clone. Instead, I imagine we'll see a unique offense instead with all these weapons under Shanny's direction.

I'm even more excited for Sunday.

So this year we have invested a 2nd round pick for Deebo, a 3rd for Hurd, now a 3rd and 4th for Sanders and we're seemingly shuffling Taylor, Goodwin and Bourne to the back and just writing off Jordan Matthews?

Annnnnnd a 2nd for Pettis???

Seems to be quite a bit invested in the WR corps to still not have any consistancy or any clear cut #1.

Im glad they made an effort but for that price and his age, plus what we have already invested this better be the piece that fixes the offense.

We over paid, we have no draft next year. Blah..

I like him, but not for the price.

Young receivers don't always suddenly just start balling out right out of the gate. Packers fans were screaming for Davante Adams to be cut/traded in the middle of his second season. Dude had crazy drops issues. He figured it out. Hopefully Pettis and Deebo do too. Having Sanders could provide a useful mentor for them.
Eman Moss'ing on corners...

This dude is a for sure an upgrade over Pettis.

They basically traded a late 3rd. What are you usually getting with a late 3rd in the draft?

Obiviously, great hands. Can someone who has followed Sander rate his speed, quickness, and ability to run after the catch?

Writing off Matthews? Dude he wasn't even in the book...he was a body and had no business being on the roster.

Deebo is a rookie, not some seasoned vet. Hurd's back is f**ked for most of the season and is as green as it gets at the position.

They basically traded a 3rd for a very good WR. They swapped picks so no they didn't give up two picks for him.

Everyone wanted AJ who's a yr younger lol AND hurt. Yet we bring up age with Sanders? People wanted to give up picks and pay AB this off seasons for god sake. He's a yr younger and sanders/AB have very similar skill sets.

Who cares about a 3rd rd pick when you're 6-0 and trying to actually make a run...

If you're as old as me, maybe you expect dynasty with the right mix of talent.

Nowadays I recognize how so hard it is to get 53 players to win a ring. I'll take going in hard for what this team has right now.

Dont we get a 3rd round comp pick when Sanders walks in the off season? so essentially we traded a late 4th and got back a early 5th right?

The round of the comp pick is determined by how much another team is willing to pay him. Monster deals equal a 3rd round pick, more conservative deals are lower round picks. Which also means that if a lot of teams get 4th round comp picks, the distance between the 4th we gave up and the 5th we gained gets even greater.
