WR Emmanuel Sanders, BUF

Let's take a step back before we think about NEXT YEAR's draft.

1. Does this help us make the playoffs this year?
2. Does this help us make a deep run in the playoffs this year?
3. Does this help us get to the Super Bowl this year?
4. Does this help us BEAT the Pats in the Super Bowl this year?
5. Can we stockpile draft picks in other ways?

I think 49ers management and Shanahan believe we are super close. This might get us to where they want to be this year.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride and quit armchair moaning. What other vet WRs are out there for the same or cheaper deal?

Pats gave a 2nd for Sanu lol

This way Elway has even more chances to butcher his QB pick.

Nah sus 49ers are 6-0 gotta keep the ball rolling, draft picks won't help RIGHT NOW.

I hope your right bro and this dude can ball.

So you think Lynch would hit on those picks and they'd be better than a 32 year old Sanders? Positive Sus has made an appearance

Our 3rd and 4th for Emmanual Sanders and a 5th. I'm fine with it. We had no veteran receivers and we really needed an upgrade at the position.

Got their 5th back, which will be close to our 4th

That's how I see it too....basically costs us a 3rd (which is huge come draft day). I'm okay with this if this opens up lanes for Kittle.

Would we get a comp if he doesn't resign?

Good point - I think we would.

Best case scenario, though, is he balls out and we work out an extension for 2-3 more years.

My bad I didn't know Lynch also got a 5th round pick too. The trade doesn't sound too bad now. IMO

Lol the Patriots gave up a 2nd for a 30 year old possession receiver. Fans always have these ridiculous expectations that other teams will just give away quality players.

I don't understand why they weren't interested in trading Sanders to us for CJ Beathard, Garrison Sanborn, and a conditional 2021 7th.

Standard bs useless post. When will the mods take a real look at this sort of behavior. Constantly saying just ignore him ignore the fact that he is breaking the rules around trolling.

All sus ever does is take the negative angle and then post it. This could clearly be seen by his Cohn post. When Cohn was bashing Niners sus backed him. Now Cohn is giving Niners props and sus turns to bashing Cohn as a homer.

There you go. To all saying our receiving core is fine, the same coaching staff who you say agrees clearly did not.

Yep I'm so glad these people aren't the general manager. We all know we needed this and we may never have a shot like this again. I know we are set up for the future but s**t happens. Injuries and other teams getting better or whatever the reason, sometimes it just doesn't happen. We thought we were going to win a Super Bowl with that elite defense and running game with Jim Harbaugh and it did not happen.

Here's another fun fact for you, he will be getting a lot of attention which will open up everyone else. Trust me. And once Trent Taylor comes back that will be deadly. This way if Trent Taylor gets injured we still have a guy that could play the slot or outside. Versatility is key and Shanahan knows it.

Is this a postive or negative?
All my buddies who aren't Niner fans think we got a good deal.

Sanders in the last year of his deal. This is just a rental. That 3rd round pick would be a steal in terms of salary and years locked into the rookie scale.
Well, Bye Bye Jordan Matthews then.
