What about Boldin? dude was solid for like 4 seasons.

Stop the hate, accept the great.
If he leaves after this year do we get compensatory pick?

Sure there is. Trade back a couple times and reload on picks. People wanted a receiver but were unrealistic about the going rate as the Sanu deal showed. Carolina, Green Bay and New Orleans were all also reportedly in on Sanders.

Then you let them have him. Have to be disciplined about setting a value and not exceeding it based on the whims of other teams. Did that with Odell and AB.

2nd time Elway has gotten him to overpay (Bibbs trade). Seems Lynch is a little too easy on his old friend.
Other fanbases are jealous asf right now on Twitter and Reddit, so I guess some of us are overreacting to us losing mid round picks for a guy everyone else badly wanted.

Sanders in the last year of his deal. This is just a rental. That 3rd round pick would be a steal in terms of salary and years locked into the rookie scale.

That 3rd rounder is doing nothing for them at the moment. Assuming that they pick late 1st, trading back 4 to 5 spots would recover the value of a late 3rd rounder.
Good. Don't care about picks at this point (especially considering the FO does an average to above average job in the draft). We need the experience and help NOW while we're playoff bound.

Your hate for the Niners is starting to become quite annoying
WHAT A WASTE.. we drafted Deevah to be like this guy and now, this FOOH will just take up our young guys' space and slow their growth..

he ain't even a ONE.

BAD BAD BAD BAD

This. The difference between that (expectedly) late 4th and early 5th isn't going to be much.

So really its a likely late 3rd rounder plus the value of a 6th rounder going to Denver.

Thank you for saying something logical I don't think people are thinking before they post. Either way we really don't have a weak link on this team now

I'm worries it's going to screw our carry over cap
I heard that the Broncos were gonna get a 3rd round Comp pick next draft if Sanders left. So does that mean we will get the 3rd round comp pick instead? If we do, we basically got Sanders for a late 4th and got a early 5th back.

I'm just glad Niners have the draft capitals to do a trade. I thought they might have to give up a player in addition

The following draft after he leaves, if he signs elsewhere and has some decent level or performance.
