It was a long time ago, but somewhere in my memory i thot he graduated and then earned a Masters in accounting, and all in 4 yrs...maybe even 3.. I may be all wet but it sure reminds me of something like that. And no question, Alex was always cerebral...not to mention a very gifted athlete.
I wish him well. So much for someone's post that we would trade JG for a 1st and have Alex come back and QB one yr, while tutoring our draft pick.

I went to that NFCCG against the Packers and there was definitely a bit of that "Stick" feeling. It will just take time, and memories, for the new stadium to find it's "personality."

Ah, Google said Alex earned his degree in accounting in 2 yrs, and then went to work on his masters the third yr. He was ultra cerebral.

You're a good man for admitting this, and the ONLY one I know. I do remember some of your posts in those days. All good brother, growth mindset!
That Seattle game was amazing as well. I live in San Diego and there is one Niners bar here. I went with a buddy and watched that game there, it was pretty fun. But nothing like the energy of being in the stadium and watching it live. Hopefully one day I can afford to live in the Bay Area, I'd love to get season tickets.

Ah, just googled him and he earned a degree in economics in TWO yrs. His third yr, he worked on his masters in economics. That in itself was amazing, but his recovery from 17 leg/ankle surgeries is even moreso.
He does deserve the comeback player of the yr award be named after him...."Alex Smith comeback player of the yr award."
that was courtesy of GMFB, BTW.

Good for him. I had my doubts about him coming back but he proved he could do it. If nothing else it gave him the strong incentive to work hard. If he hadn't he may never have walked normally again. I hope he goes on to have a nice career at whatever occupation he choses.

No need to feel sorry. Alex's playoff record was 2-5 compared to Kap's 4-2.

Just reminding you of facts. Not what ifs. So, that you don't feel sorry for your past feelings that were completely justified.
